Objective: To study the effect of acute non-isovolemic hemodilution plus tranexamic acid on bleeding and coagulation factors. Methods: Forty-two patients with brain tumor under general anesthesia were randomly divided into two groups, group N and T,21 patients in each group(n=21). Group N was given ANIH,while group T was given tranexamic acid and ANIH. Bleeding, transfusion, urine volume were recorded. Coagulation factors and D-dimer were detected 1 day before and after surgery. Hemoglobin was recorded before ANIH、after ANIH and after auto-blood transfusion. Results: Bleeding in group T was(438.5± 66.8)ml,less than(524.0±81.5)ml of N Group. Hemoglobin in group T was(10.5±0.5)g/L,higher than(8.4±0.4)g/L of Group N after transfusion. Group T and group N were similar at urine volume and transfusion rate. Before and 1 day after operation, PT、APTT、TT and FIB had no big changes. But one day after operation,D-dimer was(0.75±0.37)mg/L,more than(0.34±0.17)mg/L. Differences were statistically significant. Conclusions: Acute non-isovolemic hemodilution with tranexamic acid has no significant effect on coagulation and produce synergetic effect on decreasing bleeding. They can be safely applied in surgery of brain tumor.
