Using Tlassify Analysis To Explore The Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Types In Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients With Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome

Background:Type 2 diabetes patients(Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus,T2DM) with obstru-ctive sleep apnea syndrome(Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrom,OSAS) is prone to arrhythmia,heart failure,coronary heart disease and strokc,which are increased the risk of death.At present,the research of traditional Chinese medicine is focused on the etiology,pathogenesis,syndrome distribution and treatment of T2DM or single disease. The TCM Research on T2DM patients with OS AS is inadequate,especially less in syndrome studies reported in the literature.In this study,we investigate the distribution of TCM syndrome types of T2DM combined with OSAS by using the statistical method of classify analysis.Objective:In order to provide ideas for future prevention,treatment and clinical drug development of T2DM patients with OSAS,we have collected four diagnostic information of T2DM patients with OSAS,and used classify analysis methods to summarize the syndrome types.Methods:Information-general information,symptoms,signs,tongue picture,pulse condi-tion and clinical indicators information was collected from T2DM patients with OSAS who are treated in Endocrine and diabetes outpatient clinic and inpatient unit of The first affiliated hospital of Xiamen university from January 2015 to March 2016.Using the classify analysis method on four diagnostic information of all the groups of patients,such as the symptoms,signs,tongue and pulse condition,we get the TCM syndrome types.On the basis of the principal component analysis,the main and secondary symptoms were summarized.Results:1.General data:Among 112 cases of patients aged between 20-80,averaged 52.93+13.659,the ratio of male and female is 3:1(male 84,female 28),which indicates the male prevalence rate is higher than the female.The average body mass index was 27.59±3.87kg/m2,and the majority was more than 25kg/m2.The duration of diabetes was longer,with an average of 6.52±6.20 years.31 cases of 112 patients with a history of smoking,13 cases with a history of alcohol consumption.Most of 112 cases of patients with mild OS AS,accounting for 47.32%,moderate OSAS(20.54%),number of minimum.2.Analysis of four diagnostic information:The top ten highest frequency of the symptoms:snoring,obese,forgetful,thirsty and like drinking,Shenpi lassitude,spontaneous perspiration,lethargy,bitter taste in the mouth,dizziness,irritability irritability.3.Cluster analysis results:After the classify analysis on diagnostic information of 112 cases of phlegm and blood stasis syndrome,deficiency of qi and yin,syndrome of stagnation of liver qi and spleen deficiency.4.Results of principal component analysis:Syndrome of intermingled phlegm and blood stasis:main symptoms:cyanosis of the lips,tongue prickly,purple face,tongue crack,sunken pulse,slippery pulse,obesity,slip of tongue,red tongue;minor symptoms:big fat tongue,pale tongue,tongue with teeth marks,thick tongue fur,purple under tongue,dark purple tongue.Deficiency of qi and Yin:the main symptoms:palpitation,thin tongue,sleepiness,dry furred tongue,body numbness,poor appetite,night sweats,hot flashes,tongue ecchymosis;minor symptoms:spontaneous perspiration,pulse string,less tongue coating,dysphoria in chestpalms-soles,Rapid pulse,flushing,thin fur,pink tongue and edema tongue.Syndrome of stagnation of liver qi and spleen deficiency:the main symptoms:lassitude,irritability,soreness and weakness of waist and knees,dizziness,aversion to cold,pain and swelling chest;minor symptoms:hydroplaning tongue,vomiting phlegm,frequent urination,forgetfulness,aversion to cold,head such as wrap,loose stools,weak pulse,eat easy to hunger,shortness of breath,constipation.Conclusion:1.Incidence of T2DM with OS AS multiple in the elderly,men than women,the high prevalence of obesity.2.The most common symptoms of T2DM patients with OS AS are snoring, obese,forgetf-ul,thirsty and like drinking,general lassitude,spontaneous perspiration,drowsiness,bitter taste in the mouth,dizziness and irritability.3.The syndrome types of T2DM patients with OS AS are phlegm and blood stasis syndrome,deficiency of qi and yin,syndrome of stagnation of liver qi and spleen deficiency.
