| ObjectiveTo analyze the characteristics of the coronary artery atherosclerotic plaques tissues of the Coronary Heart Disease(CHD) patients through the virtual histology-intravascular ultrasound, and study the correlation with the coronary atherosclerotic plaques and serum Galectin-3.Methods1ã€We selected 257 patients with CHD (stable angina group(n=85)and acute coronary syndrome group(n=172)) as study object and they will be examined by coronary angiography and diagnosed as CHD.2ã€Patients diagnosed as CHD will be examined by intravascular ultrasound further, and recorded the gray-scale and virtual histology image data.3ã€We tested the serum Galectin-3 level and hypersensitive C-reactive protein level in patients with CHD.4ã€We analyzed the correlation with intravascular ultrasound results and the coronary atherosclerotic plaques characteristics.Results1ã€We found that no obvious differences existed in general information among the three study groups.2ã€The VH-IVUS showed the study:the vascular remodeling index, the proportion of necrotic core, plaque eccentricity index in ACS group, which was higher than these in the SA group. The difference showed statistically significance.3ã€Galectin-3 in ACS group is higher obvious than Galectin-3 in the SA group and control group, The difference was statistically significant.4ã€There was a positive correlation between Galectin-3 and the proportion of necrotic coreã€vascular remodeling index, plaque eccentricity tissue index in the ACS group.Conclusion1ã€Coronary atherosclerotic plaques in ACS are mostly made of necrotic core〠partial plaques, Coronary atherosclerotic plaques in SA are mostly made of fibrous tissue or fibro-fatty tissue.2ã€There was a obviously positive correlation between Galectin-3 and the proportion of necrotic coreã€vascular remodeling index, plaque eccentricity tissue index in the ACS group. |
