Objective: To investigate relationship between human leucocyte antigen(HLA)-D RB1〠HLA-DQB1 allele and pemphigus vulgaris(PV) in Uygur nationality of Xin Jiang. Method:Twenty-seven patients with PV(case group) and fifty-two normal c ontrols(control group) were selected in Uygur nationality of XinJiang as study obj ectives. HLA-DRB1 and HLA-DQB1 alleles in two groups were typed by polymer ase chain reaction-sequence specific primers(PCR-SSP).Direct count method was ad opted to calculate allele frequencies, and comparison was performed between group s. Odds ratios(OR) of allele frequencies were used to evaluate the association of gene with disease. Results:A total of 15 HLA-DRB1 alleles and 13 HLA-DQB1 alleles were detected in case group and control group. The frequencies of HLA-DR4 allele and HLA-DQB1*0503 allele in case group were significantly higher than th ose in control group(18.52%,4.81%,Pc=0.039,OR=5.529;18.52%,3.85%,Pc=0.039,OR=7.059). The frequency of HLA-DQB1*0601 allele in case group was signifi cantly lower than that in control group(7.41%,25.96%,Pc=0.013,OR=O.161).Concl usion: HLA-DR4 and HLA-DQB1*0503 may be predisposing genes, while HLA-D QB1*0601 may be protective gene of pemphigus vulgaris in Uygur nationality of XinJiang. |
