Objective:To systematically evaluate the effectiveness and security of traditional Chinese medicine for vertigo of Meniere.Methods:To search the CJFDã€VIPã€CNKIã€CBMã€Wan Fang Dataã€PubMedã€Web of science databases from self-built to December30, 2014.to identify RCTs and CCTs about traditional Chinese medicine for vertigo of Meniere.The methodological quality of included studies were assessed, and the data was extracted by three reviewers independently according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The studies were pooled using RevMan software, and the studies evaluted using descriptive qualitative analysis.Results: 98 RCTs involving,9715 patients met the inclusion criteria. The quality of included studies.is poor.In all included studies, only three Jadad scored 2 points, and the others all scored 1 minute. The results of meta-analyses showed that: the comparison of the percentage of the patients’ global evaluation of Chinese medicine decoction groupã€chinese patent medicine groupã€Chinese medicine mixed group and Chinese medicine and western medicine 1 2 3 groups described effective was higher than that of the control group. RR( 95%CI) were 4.70[3.81 ~ 5.80] ã€5.90[3.21~10.83]ã€5.29[1.85~15.12]ã€5.29[1.85~15.12]ã€5.30[3.75~7.49] and 2[2.72~10.78]. P<0.00001, differences between the two groups have statistical significance. It needed to be further evaluated in safety. Publication bias monitoring shows: included studies may had some publication bias. Conclusion: TCM or Chinese and western medicine is higher than western medicine in effectiveness of Meniere’s vertigo.It needed to be further evaluated in safety.Due to the restrictions of the quality of the included literatures, the evidence can not be determined fully applicable to clinical practice. |
