Objective: To determine the influence of the stapler in distal pancreatectomy on the postoperative pancreatic fistula. Methods: The clinical data of ninety-four patients with pancreatic lesions, who underwent distal pancreatectomy in our hospital from July 2010 to July 2015, were retrospectively analyzed. Results: Of the ninety-four patients, hand-sewn was used after the scalpel trans-section in fifty patients and stapler closure in forty-four patients after distal pancreatectomy. The incidences of pancreatic fistula and abdominal infection in Endo-GIA closure group and hand-sewn closure group were 43.2%vs 64%, with significant difference(P<0.05) between two groups. The operation time, intraoperative bleeding, postoperative bleeding and postoperative hospital stay were similar between two groups. Conclusion: For the distal pancreatectomy, the stapler could decrease the incidence of pancreatic fistula. |
