Objective:To investigate the relationship between subclinical hypothyroidism and metabolic syndrome in both Han and Uygur populations. Methods : 424 cases were enrolled during 2013-10 to2015-3 from the First Affiliated Hospital, Xinjiang University.According to the difference of the ethnic groups,this patients were divided into 230 cases of Uyghur patients and 212 cases of Han patients. The levels of BMI,TSH,FT3,FT4,TC,TG,HDL-c,LDL-c, HbA1 c were measured. Then, compared with each other.Results: The serum levels of BMI,SBP,DBP,TG,LDL-c were significantly higher in Uygur patients than Han patients, and lower HDL-c( P<0.05);The incidence rate of metabolic syndrome was increased.Conclusion: There is a close relationship between SCH and metabolic syndrome in Uygur T2 DM patients.Screening and regular following up the thyroid function of Uygur T2 DM patients have important clinical significance.
