| Objective: The aim of our study was to investigate whether there is a macrolide antibiotics resistance gene 23SrRNA2058 G mutation in treponemapallidum(TP) in Xinjiangsyphilis patients, thusto provide experimental evidence for clinical guidance. Method: A total of 95 syphilitics’ samples including whole blood and plasma werecollected in The First Affiliated Hostital of Xinjiang in January 2015 from to December 2015, and all the patients have been diagnosed by laboratory and clinicalcriteria. The TP genomeDNA was extracted by microbial genome DNA extraction kit.Polymerase A gene(polA) was detected by the polymerase chain reaction(PCR) method to identify the positive samples. The 23 SrRNA gene was amplified by nested-PCR, andenzyme digestionandagar gel electrophoresis were performed to detect whether the mutation site exists. Results:35 samples(16 Han Chinese, 11 Uighurs,6 Kazakhs and 2 other nations) wereidentifiedfrom 95 blood samples, and all of them containedthe 23 S rRNA2058G mutation site which indicated the mutation rate was 100%. Conclusions: High level of TP macrolide resistance werepresent in Xinjiangsyphilitics, however, there was no difference between different nations. |
