Objective1. To analyse and discuss the treatment characteristics and effects of artificial dermis and shortening phalanx stump respectively in repairing the nail bed defects.2. By comparing the curative effects of the two methods mentioned above, further investigate the importance of repairing the nail bed defects and nail bed reconstruction, thereby provide clinical guidance for selecting reasonable operation mode.MethodsFrom January 2012 to November 2014, select 60 patients with nail bed defects who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria.30 cases were repaired by artificial dermis, and 30 by shortening phalanx stump. Follow up these patients for 3-6 months after surgery and then evaluate the curative effects for them.ResultsAfter 3-6 months follow-up, by evaluating the curative effects for the patients who were treated from fingernail regeneration, evaluation of hand function, and visual analogue scale of postoperative pain, using statistical analysis, we find that the curative effects of artificial dermis are all better than shortening phalanx stump obviously in repairing the nail bed defects (P<0.05, the difference has visible statistical significance).ConclusionUsing artificial dermis to repair the nail bed defects is relatively simple in operation, and its curative effect is better than shortening phalanx stump obviously. But it requires higher level of debridement, and the treatment cost is relatively expensive. Thus, we can select reasonable operation mode in clinical practice according to specific circumstance. |
