Objective:To explore the diagnostic value of fiberoptic bronchoscopy (FB) of pediatric respiratory system diseases, so as to analysis the application value of FB in clinic.Methods:Review the diagnosis and treatment results of FB of 775 cases with repeated or persistent wheezing which have poor treatment effect or unknown etiology, atelectasis, refractory pneumonia and unexplained hemoptysis. All the children were diagnosed in Children’s Hospital of Chongqing Medical University between January 2014 and January 2015.Results:1. The preoperative diagnosis and postoperative diagnosis with FB of 775 cases:607cases (78.3%) had clarified the diagnosis.125 cases (16.1%) had missed diagnosis.5cases (0.6%) had misdiagnosis.38 cases (4.9%) had unclear diagnosis.2.410 cases of Recurrent or persistent wheezing:330cases (80.5%) had clarified the diagnosis.50 cases (12.2%) had missed diagnosis.2 cases (0.6%) had misdiagnosis.28 cases (6.8%) had unclear diagnosis.3.316 cases of atelectasis:242 case (76.6%) had clarified the etiology diagnosis.64 cases (20.3%) had missed diagnosis.10 cases (3.2%) had unclear etiology diagnosis.4.26 cases of refractory pneumonia:13case (50.0%) had the same diagnosis.11 cases (42.3%) had missed diagnosis.2 cases (7.7%) had misdiagnosis.5.23 cases of hemoptysis:22case (95.7%) had the same diagnosis, lcases (4.3%) had misdiagnosis.6.92.6% children have effective treatment by FB of 775 cases of: 93.2% children have effective treatment by FB of 410 cases of Recurrent or persistent wheezing.85.3% children have effective treatment by FB of 266 cases of atelectasis.73.1% children have effective treatment by FB of 26 cases of refractory pneumonia.100% children have effective treatment by FB of 22 cases of refractory pneumonia.Conclusions:1. FB can increase the diagnosing rate of respiratory system disease, and reduce missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis. FB have very important diagnostic value in respiratory system disease.2. FB has a significant treatment effect in respiratory system disease.
