Objective:To investigate the expression of LAIR-1 on Treg and the related cytokine in the peripheral blood of oral lichen planus patients and to discuss the effect of them in oral lichen planus, further clarify the theoretical basis for the pathogenesis of OLP, in order to provide a more effective approach for the treatment of oral lichen planus. Methods:The 3ml peripheral blood was obtained from 22 OLP patients and 22 healthy controls, homogeneous matching sex and age between the experimental group and control group,2ml peripheral blood was used to detect the proportion of LAIR-1 on CD4+Foxp3+ Treg cells by Flow Cytometry. 1ml frozen peripheral blood was used to detect the level of TGF-β and IL-10 by ELISA. With the experimental data( x±s) indication, correlation analysis was used in the experimental group between LAIR-1 on CD4+Foxp3+Treg cells and TGF-β, statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 13.0 software package for two-sample T-test.Results:1.The results of Flow cytometry test:The portion of LAIR-1 on CD4+Foxp3+Treg was higher in the patients with OLP than those in the control group, and there was a significant difference between the two group (P<0.05).2. The expression of cytokine detected by ELISA:The expression of TGF-β and IL-10 were higher in patients with OLP than those in the control group, and there was a significant difference between two groups(P<0.05).3. The correlation between LAIR-1 on CD4+Foxp3+Treg and TGF-β in OLP patients. The portion of LAIR-1 on CD4+Foxp3+Treg was positively correlated with the level of TGF-β (r= 0.43, p<0.05) in the patients with OLP.Conclusions:1.The portion of LAIR-1 on CD4+Foxp3+Treg was higher in the patients with OLP than those in the control group.Abnormal expression of LAIR-1 played an important role in the occurrence and development of OLP.2.The increased expression of TGF-β in peripheral blood of the OLP patients, immune function disorders, TGF-β played an important role in the occurrence and development of OLP.3.The increased expression of IL-10 in peripheral blood of the OLP patients may inhibit the activation and proliferation of autorective lymphocytes, thereby maintaining the peripheral immune tolerance.4.The portion of LAIR-1 on CD4+Foxp3+Treg was positively correlated with the level of TGF-β (r= 0.43, p<0.05) in the patients with OLP, Indicating that LAIR-1 and TGF-P common upregulation may be an important cause of the disease.
