Observation On The Therapeutic Effect Of Solid Tumor Treated With CIK Cells Combined With TCM Based On Principle Of Reinforcing The Vital Energy And Consolidating The Constitution

Objective To observe on the therapeutic effect of solid tumor treated with CIK cells combined with TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) based on principle of reinforcing the vital energy and consolidating the constitution.In this way can we provide new method in clinical diagnosis and treatment.Method Sixty cases of solid tumor were randomized into a CIK group, a TCM group and a CIK combined TCM group. Each group was treated with CIK cells, Traditional Chinese Medicine based on the principle of reinforcing the vital energy and consolidating the constitution, combined therapy, separately. After treatment, weight, KPS scores and one-year PFS were compared among the three groups.Result (1) Overall characteristics:After the treatment of CIK cells, TCM, combined therapy, separately, the weight and KPS scores were all increased as compared with those before treatment in all of the three groups.(2) Weight:After the treatment of CIK cells, TCM, combined therapy, separately,the weight was all increased as compared with those before treatment in all of the three groups. The difference in the combined group(P<0.01) and CIK group(P=0.019<0.05) was statistically significant, while not in the TCM group (P=0.136>0.05).(3) KPS scores:After the treatment of CIK cells, TCM, combined therapy, separately, the weight was all increased as compared with those before treatment in all of the three groups. The scores of ridit were 0.53,0.54, 0.44, separately. The effect of combined therapy was better than CIK cells or TCM therapy alone by compare of confidence interval.(4) One-year PFS:One-year PFS of the combined group, the CIK group and the TCM group were 11.04±1.33mon.,8.02±1.92mon.,9.12±2.54mon. After compare between groups, it indicated that the effect of combined therapy was better than CIK cells or TCM therapy alone(P<0.05), while there was no statistical difference between the CIK group and the TCM group(P>0.05).Conclusion The effect of CIK cells combined with TCM based on principle of reinforcing the vital energy and consolidating the constitution is better than CIK cells or TCM therapy alone in quality of life(weight and KPS scores) and one-year PFS.The therapy is worth of being generalized.
