Object:To investigate the applicability of the four kinds of common used clinical malnutrition assessment tools for inflammatory bowel disease(IBD) patients, and provide suggestion for clinical nutrition support in IBD treatment. Methods:There were 47 patients diagnosed as IBD patients were included in this study. Using the four kinds of common used clinical malnutrition assessment tools, PG-SGA(Scored Patient-Generated Subjective Global Assessment), NRS2002(Nutrition Risk Screening 2002), MNA(Mini Nutritional Assessment) and MNA-SF(Short-form Mini-Nutritional Assessment), for their nutrition assessment. Compare the evaluation results with the clinical laboratory diagnostic results. Using McNemar’s test for the incidence of malnutrition. Kappa test was used for the consistency. Results:According to the clinical laboratory diagnostic results, 44.7% patients were malnourished. Using PG-SGA, NRS2002, MNA and MNA-SF to evaluate the malnutrition risk, and the incidence of malnutrition was 44.7%, 21.3%, 25.5% and 48.9% respectively. Mc Nemar’s test results show no statistic difference in incidence of malnutrition due to P>0.05. The obtained result of MNA-SF in Kappa test illustrate favorable consistency as P<0.05.Conclusion:MNA-SF could replace the clinical laboratory diagnostic criteria about malnutrition. It could play an effective role in the risk assessment of nutritional status of patients with IBD...
