Research Progress On Diagnosis And Surgical Treatment Of Spinal Metastasis Tumors

Background:Spinal metastasis tumors are the common bone tumors.Spinal tumors amount to about 5% of tumors in bone,spinal metastasis tumors account for about 50% of the bone metastasis tumors. With the prolonged life expectancy and advances in medicine,the incidence rate and detection rate of spinal metastasis tumors have been enhanced.Objective:Review the information on diagnosis and surgical treatment of spinal metastasis tumors in order to supply clinical practice with relevant reference.Methods:"Spinal metastasis tumors;clinical manifestation; diagnosis; treatment; surgical methods" were used as keywords to retrieve relative articles about diagnosis and surgical treatment of spinal metastasis tumors.Results:According to signs,symptoms,medical history of primary tumors and all kinds of medical checkups,the spinal metastasis tumors usually can be diagnosed.Doctors should distinguish them from diseases such as primary spinal tumors, spinal tuberculosis,etc.The general treatment principles are as follows:first,wide excision if conditions allowed; next, stability of the spine generally must be reconstructed; third,combined treatments.Recently, some scholars use LMNOP evaluation system or theory of oncology to help choose operational methods.
