Objective :Study of high frequency ultrasound for quantitative measurement of the thickness of transverse carpal ligaments, carpal tunnel section area to the carpal tunnel contents section area ratio Analysis of the threshold, the sensitivity, specificity, as ultrasound in the diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome increased sensitivity, specificity.Methods:2010 October-2013 may selected patient groups( CTS) in 26 patients with35 sides,The electrophysiological and clinical symptoms diagnosis,A control group of healthy volunteers in 30 cases60 side, age gender and patient group matching 。 High frequency ultrasound measurements of the pisiform bone level and the hook of the hamate,level of the thickness of transverse carpal ligaments carpal tunnel section area and the carpal tunnel contents section area ratio.All the measurement data to the " mean+ SD" said, using the two sample t test, P <0.05, with statistical significance。According to the measurement of index by using the SPSS13.0 software to draw ROC curve,Determination of the measurement index for the diagnosis of threshold calculation,sensitivity and specificity. And the comparison of the thickness of transverse carpal ligaments and the correlation between basal area ratio.Results:The pisiform bone level of the thickness of transverse carpal ligaments best cut point0.295 cm, the sensitivity was 74.3%, specificity was 86.7%;The level of the hamate bone thickness of transverse carpal ligaments and the best cut-off point0.335 cm, the sensitivity was 85.7%, specificity was 83.3%;The pisiform bone level carpal tunnel section area and the carpal tunnel contents broken area ratio to get the best cut-off point of2.447, the sensitivity was 61.7%, specificity was 77.1%; The hook of the hamate carpal tunnel section area and the level of the carpal tunnel contents broken area ratio to get the best cut-off point of 2.447, the sensitivity was 83.3%, specificity was 62.9%.Thethickness of transverse carpal ligaments and basal area ratio is negative correlation Conlusion:High frequency ultrasound can clearly show the carpal tunnel wall and carpal canal nerve,tendon structure echo,Through the combination of quantitative index to measure,can accurately diagnose of carpal tunnel syndrome,and can clear the cause,for the choice of clinical treatment and provide effective help... |
