| Objective:To compare the difference during retrograde urethrography(RUG) performed by using the common injector versus those of RUG which were performed with the improved injector.Reference data for the improved injector(pantent no: ZL201310490439) for retrograde urethrography are provided. Methods:Hospital of Shanxi Medical University from june 2013 to august 2014.Passing into and discharge standards, the patient were divided into two groups: 30 patients were performed by using the common injector(control group)and 30 patinets were performed with the improved injector(experimental group). Compare operation time, a visual analogue scale(VAS) and loss of constract agents. Results:All operations were successfully performed. The operation time, VAS and loss of constract agents in the experimental group and control group were(1.54±0.38) vs(3.08±0.8) minutes,(2.23±0.63) vs(4.87±0.73), and(3.63±0.67) vs(14.83±0.79) m L.These indexes were significantly less in the experimental group than in the control group(P<0.05). When these indexes for the front and rear end urethral stenosis were compared, the modified injector had better effects than the regular injector(P<0.05).Conclusions:Compared with regular injector, modified injector has advantages of shorter operation time, less pain and less loss of constract agents. It can serve as an ideal instrument for male retrograde urethrography. |
