Objective To investigate the value of mammographic diagnoses of breast lesion with symptoms of breast cancer in breast imaging reporting and date system(BI-ARDS)Methods To explore the application value of BI-RADS from different aspects by two methods. One : In do not know the pathological results, doctors divide into senior(work for more than 20 years) and junior(woke for more than 2 years) two groups, let the two age groups of doctors assessed and classified mammograms in 260 patients( have pathological results and clinical symptoms) according to BI-RADS(category 0- category V) form the standard classification of BI-RADS combined with our experience, and to compare the two groups of the classification results, to observe positive predictive of judgment whether there are differences between the group of doctors; The other : let two groups of doctors to report on 260 patients, do not using BI-RADS classification method. The diagnosis is divided into three types: 1, no abnormal image, not suspicious lesions found in the X-ray image; 2, benign lesions(Breast hyperplasia as such); 3, suspected malignant. Comparison with two methods results and with pathological findings. Results No statistically significant difference between two groups form the level of two groups of doctors in the positive predictive were category 0(17.3%, 17.3%), category I(8%, 3.7%); category II(2.8%, 5.4%); category III(7.6%, 7.1%); category IV(47.3%, 43.6%); category V(77.8%, 82.2%).(see Form 1) Compared with the results form the senior groups BI-RADS and traditional method of report.: in the senior groups doctors into category 0 in 46 patients, 36 cases with the traditional reports of "normal", and that among the 36 cases, 7 cases of malignant pathology results; compared with the results from the junior groups BI-RADS and traditional method of report.: in the junior groups doctors into category 0 in 46 patients, 40 cases with the traditional reports of "normal", and that among the 40 cases, 8 cases of malignant pathology result.(see Form 5、6) From Form(5、6) showed the missed diagnosis rate for 10/260 in traditional reports; from form(5) showed a rate of missed diagnosis was 1/260 in the senior groups;from form(6) showed a rate of missed diagnosis was 2/260 in the junior groups. These obvious differences in the performance of category 0.CONCLUTION By the two groups BI-RADS results show:1、BI-RADS is simple and easy to learn, can easy to promotion in the primary hospital.2、Make good use of category 0, can reduce the rate of missed diagnosis of breast cancer.3、Application of BI-RADS classification assessment, is helpful to predict the risk of malignant lesions, guide the further clinical treatment.4、Application of BI-RADS classification assessment, the low rate of missed diagnosis than the traditional report.
