Objective By retrospective Explore to evaluated and summarized 49 cases of our hospital mitral regurgitation who underwent mitral valvuloplasty from January 2010 to December 2014.Methods To select patients who underwent mitral valvuloplasty in Ningxia Medical University General Hospital from January 2010 to December 2014 as research objective, 37 males and 12 females, aged October to 65 years, mean age(43.95±14.46) years old. All patients were under general anesthesia hypothermic cardiopulmonary bypass in an operation. Surgical procedures included valve leaflets excision, valve defects repair, commissure suture, chordae tendineae shortening, chordal replacement, edge to edge leaflet suture, artificial valve ring implantation. Transesophageal echocardiography were used intraoperatively prior to, intraoperative monitoring and after the procedures to assess the locations of mitral regurgitation, and the repair outcomes. The left ventricular filling test was used to judge preliminary repair results. Postoperative echocardiography was used for follow-up.Results There was no operative mortality, with an average follow-up(18.3 ± 7.6) months(range 14 to 1586 days).Mitral valve function was normal or traces regurditation in 35 cases(71.43%), mild mitral regurgitation in 11 cases(22.45%). Postoperative transesophageal echocardiography showed that 2 cases(4.08%) had moderate regurgitation,They underwent mitral valve repair again and successed. One case(2.04%) underwent mitral valve replacement because of moderate to severe regurgitation. The dimensions of left atrium and left ventricle were obviously decreased and Heart function improved significantly compared with preoperative ones. Conclusion Strict control of surgical indications for different valve disease, the use of mitral valvuloplasty technique, mitral valvuloplasty can get a great clinical efficacy. Application of transesophageal echocardiography preoperative diagnosis, intraoperative monitoring, immediate postoperative assessment for mitral valvuloplasty results provide good technical support.
