Objective:To retrospectively compare the side branch protective effect of active ba lloon side branch protection technology with single wire protection technology in the treatment of coronary artery bifurcation lesions. Methods:From January 2008 to September 2013,selecting 316 patients who performed elective coronary angiography check, confirmed coronary artery bifurcation lesion and accepted percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI),collecting their clinic information and treatment CD, then in accordance with the different PCI methods, it was divided into active balloon side branch protection treatment group and single guide wire protection group. Compared with the success rate of undergoing PCI treatment in this two groups who have coronary bifurcation lesions, the situation of immediate blood flow in surgery side branch, the incidence of angina, and the myocardial enzyme levels after 6h of surgery, observed the situation that this two groups occurred adverse cardiac events after 6 months of surgery(such as death, myocardial infarction, and target lesion revascularization and so on),next performed angiographic again after 12 months and compared bifurcation of this two groups. Results:After placing stent in main branch, compared side branch vessel occlusion of this two group,no one occurred occlusion in active balloon side branch protectio n group,12 cases of single wire protection group(7.8%)(P<0.05);compared with the recent and mid-term efficacy of this two groups, the incidence of angina pectoris and MACE in active balloon side branch protection group is significantly lower than single wire protection group(P<0.05).After 6 months, although there is no significant difference between these two groups in the incidence of myocardial infarction, the incidence of myocardial infarction in ABP group(1.9%)is less than the single wire protection group’s(4.7%); review of coronary angiography after 12 months, there is one patient occurring the side branch artery occlusion in ABP group,while in the single wire protection group, there are 7 patients(8.9%) occurring the side branch artery occlusion,and this comparison is meaningful(P<0.05). Conclusions:The recent and mid-term efficacy of active balloon side branch protection technology in treatment of coronary bifurcation lesions is much better and safer than single wire protection technology, and it has better prognosis.
