Objective:Through Three Finite element method to explore the influence of ferrule height to Flexi-Flange Fiber on stress distribution and peak values in roots,to provide reference for the clinical application of Flexi-Flange Fiber. To study Flexi-Flange Fiber with /without ventilation design /thread design on the stress distribution and peak values in roots, which provides a reference to optimize clinical fiber post design. Methods:To select complete vitro of maxillary central incisor and Flexi-Flange Fiber, obtain two-dimensional data via CBCT scanning, export in DICOM format. By using Mimics10.01 software, Geomagic Studio12.0 software, Pro/E software and Ansys finite element software to establish three-dimensional finite element model of various heights of the maxillary central incisor dentin shoulder, and various shapes of sectional Flexi-Flange Fiber. To imitate maxillary central incisor normal masticatory force, then load models,in order to calculate the stress distribution and peak values, and analysis the influence of Flexi-Flange Fiber. Results:1. By using software to establish three-dimensional finite element model of various heights of dentin shoulder of the maxillary central incisor, and various shapes of sectional Flexi-Flange Fiber2. Different ferrule height, dentin stress distribution are basically the same; with the decrease of ferrule height,Stress gradually concentrated onto the cervical region of tooth.But stress value with the increase of ferrule height, decreases gradually.3. When ferrule height is 2.0 mm, in root dentin, maximum von Mises stresses of which ventilation design of Flexi-Flange Fiber was lower than none ventilation design of Flexi-Flange Fiber,and maximum von Mises stresses of thread design of Flexi-Flange Fiber was bigger than none thread design of Flexi-Flange Fiber. Conclusion:1. With CBCT, Mimics10.01 software, Geomagic Studio12.0 software, Pro/E software and Ansys finite element software, have accurately established three-dimensional finite element model of post-and-core system.2. ferrule can protect tooth tissue,When restore maxillary central incisor with Flexi-Flange Fiber,it is better if more than 1.5 mm ferrule height.3. The shape of Flexi-Flange Fiber is closely related to the stress distribution and peak values, ventilation design reduced the root dentin stress value, while increasing stress value with thread design in root dentin. |
