In respect of plant cosmetics today, cosmeceuticals with Blumea will have a broad prospect of application. Therefore, this article discussed how to develop cosmeceuticals with Blumea.1. Determination of the formulation and technological conditions of three kinds of cosmeceuticals with Blumea. The formulation of functional cosmeceuticals with Blumea was determined using suitable dosage form, appropriate to add moisturizers, moisturizing agents and nutritional agents. The optimal formulations of Sun-after Repairing Sleeping Mask with Blumea and Nose Refreshing Gel-Cream with Blumea were designed and optimized by uniform design, stability tests and organoleptic tests by volunteer. Sun-after Repairing Sleeping Mask with Blumea ingredients include:Glycerin, carbomer-940, vitamin B5, propylene glycol, hydrogenated castor oil, alcohol, methyl paraben, triethanolamine, hyaluronic acid, Gemma BP, oil of Blumea balsamifera, deionized water. Nose Refreshing Gel-Cream with Blumea ingredients include: Carbomer, glycerin, menthol, sodium hyaluronate, 1.3-butanediol, methyl paraben, triethanolamine, ethanol, hydrogenated castor oil, Gemma BP, powder of Blumea balsamifera, deionized water. Another, The optimal formulations of Sun-after repairing cream of Blumea were designed and optimized by orthogonal tests, stability tests and organoleptic tests by volunteer. Sun-after repairing cream of Blumea ingredients include:Hydrogenated poly decene, glycerin, carbomer-940, propyl paraben, cetearyl alcohol, dimethicone, sorbitan monostearate, Arlacel165, polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid ester, 1,3-butanediol, hyaluronic acid, stearic acid, shea butter, vitamin E oil, liquid paraffin oil, jojoba oil, methyl paraben, triethanolamine, Gemma BP, oil of Blumea balsamifera, deionized water.2. Three kinds of cosmeceuticals with Blumea were well distributed, suitable viscosity, good spreadability, fragrant and a comfortable coating as well.It doesn’t produce seperated layer, coarse, breaking when centrifuged at 4000rpm/min for 60 min. When placed at-15℃ for 24 h, and then placed at 40℃ for 24 h with the cycle for 7 d, it does not lead to the seperated layer of oil and water, creaming and rupture. And the p H of three kinds of cosmeceuticals with Blumea were all in the range of 4.0 to 8.5. The results was consistent with the standard of QBT 2874-2007.3. Measurement of the sanitation index of the three kinds of cosmeceuticals with Blumea. The study quantitatively measured Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, fecal coliform and the number of colonies. The total colony number of the three kinds of cosmeceuticals with Blumea were all less than 1000 CFU/g.And it does not have any bacteria( including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, fecal coliform). The results consistent with QBT 2874-2007.4. Evaluation of the safety of the three kinds of cosmeceuticals with Blumea. Human patch test, Skin Phototoxicity test, and Skin irritation test were down to assessment of the three kinds of cosmeceuticals with Blumea. The experimental animals were not erythema, swelling and other abnormal symptoms. The results met the national standards, indicating the three kinds of cosmeceuticals with Blumea were safe and usable.
