| Objective to evaluate the left and right side nasal ventilation objective examination results, focusing on two indicators: correlation of bilateral nasal resistance difference and bilateral nasal minimal cross-sectional area ratio and subjective symptoms of nasal ventilation function. Methods: 3 subjects, group 1: 2013 October to 2013 December in the choice of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University from nasal symptoms to operation of 15 patients with nasal septum deviation. There are 10 males, 5 females, aged 19~70 years old. Group 2: normal nasal cavity structure; paranasal sinus CT combined with nasal endoscopy nasal mucosa of normal; no obvious anatomical abnormalities; no serious systemic diseases history; a woman is not in the menstrual period and pregnancy of 10 volunteers, 6 males, 4 females, aged 22~46 years old. Group 3: no symptoms of nasal septum deviation. In order to find the regular physical examination without nasal symptoms in patients with nasal septum deviation, no chronic nasal disease and history of allergic diseases; no other serious systemic diseases; women in the menstrual period and pregnancy; paranasal sinus CT combined with endoscopic examination showed different degrees of deviation of nasal septum. A total of 12, including 6 males, 6 females, aged 20~59 years old. Using ATMO 300 nasal resistance meter measurement parameters for 75 Pa bilateral nasal resistance(R75NR), and then obtain the difference of bilateral resistance(INR); at the same time using the Eccovision Hood Labs acoustic rhinometry measurement of nasal minimal cross-sectional area(MCA), and then obtain the spacious side and narrow side of crosssection area ratio(MCAw/MCAn), minimum cross section area from the anterior nares distance(MD) and the distance measurement of anterior naris 5cm nasal cavity volume(V5). Results in first groups, visual simulation score(VAS) of nasal symptoms and nasal resistance, no statistical significance of nasal cavity volume and minimum cross-sectional area of difference; no significant correlation with MCAw/MCAn, no statistical significance; is significantly related to differences in >0.36 Pa/cm3 min-1 of bilateral resistance VAS and the difference was statistically significant bilateral resistance, namely the subjective assessment of bilateral differences and objective assessment of bilateral differences; INR, MCAw/MCAn respectively in MD, V5 between the difference was not statistically significant; in the first group and second group, first group and third group MCA, INR, R75 NR, V5, MCAw/MCAn, the difference was statistically significant, while in the second, between the third groups no significant difference; second and between the third groups had no statistical significance, V5, MCA, MD, INR, MCAw/MCAn difference. In the first group, MCAw/MCAn is distributed, INR>0.36 ratio is greater than 4, INr<0.36 ratio close to 2; second and third groups of MCAw/MCAn close to 1. Conclusion: nasal resistance measurement and acoustic rhinometry measurement structure and function evaluation of nasal cavity. In a stuffy nose symptoms of nasal septum deviation patients, no significant correlation of nasal lateral nasal resistance and separate measurement of acoustic rhinometry results, bilateral resistance difference and subjective evaluation of differences have significant correlation in a certain range, but still can not completely subjective evaluation of ventilation. Objective examination and subjective function of nasal cavity ventilation evaluation in most cases is consistent, but there are still inconsistent condition. Nasal septum deviation caused by nasal obstruction symptoms depend not only on the range, degree of deviation, and is associated with bilateral nasal valve region effective cross-sectional area difference. There is an equilibrium relationship between the structure and function of the nasal cavity. |
