Comparison Of The Rapeutic Effectiveness And Safety Between TS And S-1 Be Used To Adjuvant Chemotherapy Regimens In Patients With Radically Resected Gastric Cancer

Objective:Gastric cancer is a common malignant cancer and which has a high mortality rate in the world.In the past,Surgery is the single treatment of gastric cancer.Now there are a variety of treatments to treat stomach cancer including surgery,chemotherapy, radiation, targeted therapy and traditional Chinese medicine. Although surgical resection has improved gastric cancer patients survival,but cancer recurrence and distant metastasis is a important reason of death in patients with gastric cancer.In order to reduce postoperative metastasis and recurrence of gastric cancer,adjuvant chemotherapy had appeared.The choice of adjuvant therapy after radical operation for carcinoma of stomach has been controversing. So there is no uniform standard.5-fu is the most basis gastric chemotherapeutant.Then,S-1 has appeared whic is gradually insteading of 5-fu because of its higher curative effect and lower toxicity.Above all,s-1 associate with other chemotherapeutics has applying to adjuvant therapy of gastric cancer.Taxinol is very important in advanced carcinoma of stomach.So,it has arouse up our interesting in adjuvant chemotherapy of gastric cancer.The purpose of this study is to evaluate the one year relapse free survival,one year overall survival rate and toxicity between TS(taxinol plus s-1)and s-1 itsself.By this ,we can enhance our therapeutic of gastric caner.Methods:This is a retrospective analysis.Fifty two patients were enroiled in this study,who were performed radica gastrectomy in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University from 2009 to 2013.Fifty two cases were divided into two groups.Nineteen patients were enrolled in TS group.The other thirty three were enrolled in s-1 group.Results:Fifty patients from two groups had intact follow-up data.Two patients in S-1 group has been lost. One year relapse free survival rate of TS group and S-1 group are 73.7% and 70.9% respectively(p=0.836).One year overall survival rate of two regiments are 89.5% and 83.9% respectively.(p=0.893) None of these differences is existed. For the Lauren classification,one year relapse free survival rate of TS group is higher than S-1 group.(p<0.05) No severe toxicity was observed in both groups.No one dead because of chemotheraoy. Toxicity such as anemic incidence and liver function descend rate were more often in the TS group than the S-1 group. And statistic difference is existed.Conclusions:TS and S-1 as postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy in radically resected gastric caner are effective.Patients such as with later period,diffuse type,lower dependence,TS is a better choice.
