Study On The Effect Of Bushen Tongluo Granule On Serum Cystatin C Of Patients With Early Stage Of Renal Damage Caused By Hypertensive Disease

Objective:Observing the serum cystatin C densities of patients with early stage of renal damage caused by hypertensive disease, to study on the effect of bushen tongluo granule on the density reduction of serum cystatin C, and to explore its mechanism.Methods: Sixty patients satisfying the adoption standards, who with early stage of renal damage caused by hypertensive disease were chosen to be source patients. All of them were admitted to the department of cardiovascular medicine of Shandong Provincial Hospital of TCM from May, 2013 to June, 2014. They are randomly divided into control group and experimental group. All patients were treated with the same basic treatments,such as low-fat low-salt diet, proper exercises and giving up smoking and alcohol. All of the patients were also treated with valsartan capsule according to their conditions. If the patients suffer from hyperlipidemia or hyperuricemia, they were treated with proper cares corresponding to the diseases. Patient of experimental group were treated with bushen tongluo granule but control group were not. One course of the treatment includes 8 weeks.We record the data of both groups before and after the treatment, which include serum cystatin C, microalbuminuria(mALb), β2-microglobulin(β2-MG), retinol-binding protein(RBP) and Blood Pressure. The results of blood examinations, liver and renal function examinations and clinical symptoms were also recorded. All the data were processed statistically.Result:The densities of serum cystatin C, mALb,β2-MG and RBP of both groups reduced, but the reduction degree of experimental group were significantly larger thancontrol group(P < 0.01). The curative efficiencies of blood pressure lowering of experimental group and control group were 96.67% and 86.67%, respectively. The curative efficiencies of clinical symptoms were 86.67% and 53.33%, respectively.Conclusion:The bushen tongluo granule has obvious effects to reduce the density of serum cystatin C of patients with early stage of renal damage caused by hypertensive disease dramatically. It also has good clinic effects of blood pressure reduction, liver and renal function improvement and clinic symptoms alleviation. All of this prove that the TCM integrated with western medicine treatment has special advantages compared to western medicine only treatment.
