Objective: This study was aimed to establishing a SD rat model of insulin resistance, to observe the changes of blood glucose level, insulin level and insulin resistance (HOMA-IR) level.To observe the effect of resistance training (RT) intervention in insulin resistance and to explore the mechanism of RT effect on insulin resistance.Methode21 healthy SD male rats, one week adaptation process, rats were randomly divided into three groups:group TN1, group TN2, group TN3. Three groups to prepare an IR model, namely group TN1 is model DM group, group TN2 is exercise group, and group TN3 is resistance training (RT) group. Each group 7 rats. After IR was established, exercise group performed treadmill training 5 days per week for 4 weeks period. Resistance training group exercises according to the traditional exercise muscle action in the form of resistance exercise carried out for the model design exercise, four weeks of exercise,5 days a week. Control group and model DM group did not receive any exercise intervention. Before and after four weeks of exercise, the rats were fasted for 12 h overnight fasting, collect about 5ml blood sample from sinus orbita, Take 1 ml plasma as material to test blood glucose, insulin levels and insulin resistance index.Result After 4 weeks of exercise intervention, the comparison of blood glucose, serum insulin and insulin resistance index of three experiment group between before and after exercise intervention show significant differences (P<0.05), in which the model DM group were increased, while the exercise group and resistance training group were decrease.4 after weeks after exercise intervention, blood glucose, serum insulin and insulin resistance index of exercise group and resistance training group compare with model DM show significant differences (P<0.05). Blood glucose and insulin resistance index of resistance training group compare with exercise group also show significant differences (P<0.05). There is no significant difference in serum insulin between resistance training group and exercise group.Conclusion Resistance training give a big contribution to improve diabetes glucose metabolism, insulin sensitivity and reduce insulin resistance.
