| [Object]This particular thesis is a cross-sectional study, the factors involved are Pathology, age, gender, treatment, socio-economic factor of Gastric cancer(adenocarcinoma) in patients of the two countries China and India and to assess the difference in these categories.[Methods]1. A particular questionare is prepared to see what to search in the patient history file,comparing factors like age, sex, pathology, socio-economic status and treatment.2. Data are collected from the Medical Archival System from 2000-2013, from the department of hepatopancreatico bilairy-1 of 2nd Affiliated Hospital of KMU China. In India data were collected from that of 3 hospitals simultaneously-Thakurpukur Cancer Hospital, Apollo Hospital and Medica Superspeciality Hospital in Kolkata.3. It’s a retrograde epidieomological study so the data are sorted out for any kind of ambiguity4. The data are arranged and processed in STATA 10.0 for comparing it with the two countries[Results]In India there were 55% males and 45% females, characteristic of Chinese population is 65.5% males against 34.5% were females. The pathological types in India are intestinal, mucinous, diffuse and signet type of gastric cancer, whereas in China are low, low-medium, medium, medium-high type of gastric cancer, comparison in age of the two sexes, and social status is measured by the income of the the particular patient in USD. Family income of Chinese pts are greater than in Indian pt. ca pts with higher age is more in china as compared to india. In china lymph nodes are less seen as compared to india.[Conclusion]Its important to find out wether there lies any difference in between thsse two countires in there repective categories of socioeconomic, pathology, age, sex. And if there lies any difference then wether to apply newer techniques or methods to curb the problem... |
