Objective This research is to elucidate different features and the sense they may make of clinicopathological and immunohistochemistry(IHC) in both invasive micropapillary carcinoma and invasive ductal carcinoma not otherwise specified. And to explore the expression of protein PP-1 in this two different kinds of breast cancer. Methods 4921 breast cancer patients who had surgery treatment in the First Hospital Affiliated to Dalian Medical University from January 2008 to March 2015 were collected. Before surgery they didn’t have any other treatment. 68 patients were identified as IMPC by IHC. Date were compared with 68 patients identified as IDC-NOS available in this hospital during the same period. All are female. We have kept records of patient age, whether there are metastatic lymphy nodes or not and the number of metastatic lymph nodes, the number and size of primary tumor, clinical stages, molecular typing, side of primary tumor in, whether lymphy vascular invasion or not, color Doppler imaging performance, mammography performance, and the expression of estrogen receptor, progestin receptor, and Her-2. Using IHC to detect the expression of PP-1 in both IMPC and IDC-NOS. All the dates are analyzed statistically by the SPSS for Windows version 17.0 software package. Result Significant differences were observed in the number of metastatic lymph nodes, clinical stages, molecular typing, bad calcification performance in mammography, whether lymphy vascular invasion or not, and the expression of ER, Her-2 between the two groups. The number of metastatic lymph nodes in IMPC is obviously higher then IDC-NOS. The patients in IMPC are meanly in stage II and III( as to the clinic stage), while it is meanly in stage I and II in IDC-NOS. As to calcification in mammography performance, the number of patients in IMPC is more than it in IDC-NOS. The vascular invasion rate of IMPC is higher than IDC-NOS. ER and Her-2 expression rate of IMPC is higher than IDC-NOS. It is different where PP-1 expresses in this two kinds of breast cancer. It meanly expresses in cell membrane and cytoplasm in IDC-NOS, while it expresses in cytoplasm and cell nucleus in IMPC.There were no significant differences between the two groups as to age, whether there is metastatic lymph nodes or not, size of primary tumor, the side of primary tumor in, color Doppler imaging performance, mammography performance, PR expression and the number of mass in one patient. Conclusions 1.According to the high rate of metastatic lymph nodes and vascular invasion in IMPC, we can say that compared to IDC-NOS, IMPC is a unique subtype of breast cancer which manifests a more aggressive behavior in invasive growth, much more tending to invade lymph node and extranodal soft tissue. 2.The expression of ER and Her-2 in IMPC is higher than that in IDC-NOS. 3.Before surgery there is no significant difference between the two kinds of breast cancer in imaging examination. But the rate of bad calcification in IMPC is higher than IDC-NOS. The position whtere PP-1 expresses is different in this two kinds breast cancer. There is a performance of nuclear translocation in IMPC, this may be connected with its high invasive ability and poor biological behavior.
