Objective:We investigated the incidence, clinical features, perinatal outcomes, time and method of pregnancy termination of early-onset and late-onset preeclampsia’s recurrence, in order to provide the theoretical basis for the improvement of perinatal outcomes for preeclampsia’s recurrence. Methods:We screened for patients with preeclampsia in their first pregnancy, who then had a second pregnancy in our hospital from2000January to2014November as the research object. Then we carried out an retrospective analysis for the patients’age when pregnant, BMI before pregnancy, the gestational age of preeclampsia incidence, systolic/diastolic blood pressure when admitted to the hospital, the highest systolic/diastolic blood pressure during the period of hospitalization, urinary protein for24hour, serum albumin, glutamic-pyruvic transaminase(ALT), glutamic-oxalacetic transaminase(AST), creatinine, urea, fasting blood glucose, preeclampsia related complications, perinatal complications, gestational age at delivery, methods of termination of pregnancy, the babies’ birth weight and other data. Results:The recurrent rate of preeclampsia was29.85%(20/67). The recurrent rates of early-onset preeclampsia and late-onset preeclampsia were44.44%(8/18) and24.49%(12/49). Compared with late-onset preeclampsia, the recurrent rate of early-onset preeclampsia is nearly two fold higher. And the incidence of recurrent early-onset preeclampsia is relatively higher (62.5%vs50%). The more serious the preeclampsia is, the more frequent the preeclampsia relapses for women with history of preeclampsia. But there was no significant difference in the severity of the preeclampsia in the second pregnancy compared with the previous pregnancy. Conclusion:Compared with late-onset preeclampsia, the recurrent rate of early-onset preeclampsia is higher. The incidence of recurrent early-onset preeclampsia is higher than late-onset preeclampsia. But there was no significant difference in the severity of the preeclampsia in the subsequent pregnancy compared with the previous pregnancy. Patients with preeclampsia history still get a good chance to have healthy babies.
