Background: Oral cancer is a common mucosal epithelial tumor,which accounts for about3.5%of all kinds of malignant tumors, itsmorbidity and mortality can not be ignored. Squamous cell carcinoma is akind of epithelial malignant tumors mainly occurring in the oral mucosa,skin or appendages with high grade malignancy, high metastasis and highmorbidity. Hence, How to treat squamous cell carcinoma in the efficientway is a hard issue to be solved. Nowadays, Researchers are focusing onthe gene of the tumor and it has been proved that the abnormal expressionof WAVE1, RAC1and CDK8gene are related to the incidences anddevelopment of malignant tumors. therefore, these genes are becominghot topics and getting more and more attentions from medicalresearchers.Objective:To investigate the expression of WAVE1, CDK8andRAC1and their significance in the treatment and prognosis of carcinomaof the floor of mouth.Methods:Selected83specimens of carcinoma of the floor of mouthas experiment group and43normal oral mucosa as control group. Todetect the expression of WAVE1、RAC1and CDK8with method ofSuper Pic Ture TM Polyme and analyse the results. Results:The expression levels of WAVE1、RAC1and CDK8was distinctlyhigher in carcinoma of the floor of mouth tissues than in the controlgroup. The expression of WAVE1、RAC1and CDK8have positivecorrelation with the incidence of carcinoma of the floor of mouthaccording to SP relative analysis.The expression of WAVE1in carcinoma of the floor of mouth tissuesis significantly correlated with cervical lymph nodes metastasis,tumordifferentiation(P<0.05). The expression of RAC1is significantlycorrelated with cervical lymph nodes metastasis, tumor differentiation(P<0.05). The expression of CDK8in carcinoma of the floor of mouthtissues is significantly correlated with cervical lymph nodes metastasis,tumor differentiation (P<0.05). They both had no correlation with age andclinical stage.Conclusion:The WAVE1, CDK8and RAC1was highly expressedin carcinoma of the floor of mouth. It is of great significance to detect theWAVE1, CDK8and RAC1in the early stage for the development andprognosis evaluation of the disease.
