Objective To investigate the clinical features and psychology and family characteristics of children with tic disorders.Methods Choose118children who are diagnosed as tic disorders as research group, and choose120normal children who come from a primary and secondary schools in hangzhou of similar age and similar culture degree as control group. Analyse the clinical data of118children with tic disorders. Research group and control group were assessed by eysenck personality questionnaire(EPQ),children themself-consciousness scale (PH CSS), family environment scale (FES), and parenting style scale (EMBU).Compare Compare with the two groups of psychology and family characteristic and analyse the data with SPSS17.0software.Results In118children with tic disorders, men are more than women significantly. The clinical manifestations are diversiform and the symptom is nication. The disease is easy misdiagnosed. The rate of misdiagnosis is46.6%and the most easily misdiagnosed. are conjunctivitis. Liver-wind hyperactivity move is the most in distribution of TCM syndrome type and accounted for55.1%. The research group with EPQ scoring in P (psychoticism). N (nervous) is significantly higher than control group’(p<0.05/p<0.01).In L (hide) validity of score is significantly lower than the control group ((p<0.01). The research group with PHCSS scoring in body appearance and attributes, anxiety, subscales sociable, happiness and satisfaction, and the total score is significantly lower than normal group (p<0.01).The research group with EMBU scoring in father punished.excessive protection and excessive interference factor points were significantly higher than control group (p<0.01). and mother punished, refused, excessive interference factor points is significantly higher than control group (p<0.01). The research group with FES scoring in family intimacy.emotional expression,entertainment factor points are significantly lower than control group (p<0.01).wh-ile contradiction are significantly higher than control group (p<0.01). Conclusion The clinical manifestations are diversiform and the symptom is nication. The rate of clinical misdiagnosis in children with tic disorders is high and the most easily misdiagnosed are conjunctivitis.Poor children more manifest the personality of withdrawn, tension, anxiety, masked, well-behaved, poor ability to adapt to environment and low sense of self. The parental rearing patterns of children with tic disorders tend to high penalities and strict, high refuse and denial, excessive interference.The family environment characters perform low intimacy, less entertainment, high contradiction and lack emotional communicati-on.
