Objective To investigate the effect of different low dose ketamine and cisatracurium priming on the intubating condition and onset time of cisatracurium.Methods120consecutive patients undergoing general anesthesia were randomly assigned to one of4groups. All patients were injected one of normal saline (group I), cisatracurium0.01mg/kg (group â… ), combination of cisatracurium0.01mg/kg, and ketamine0.5mg/kg (group â…¢) and combination of cisatracurium0.01mg/kg, and ketamine lmg/kg (group â…£) diluted into a3ml solution, followed3minutes later by cisatracurium0.15mg/kg in group â… , and0.14mg/kg cisatracurium in groupâ…¡, â…¢, â…£. Onset time was recorded the electromyographical responses using single twitch and intubating conditions were evaluated at180seconds after cisatracurium administration. Results The mean onset time was most significantly accelerated in Group â…¢ã€â…£ and was also significantly more accelerated in Group â…¡ã€â…¢ and â…£ compared with Group â… (P<0.005). Intubating conditions were significantly improved in Group â…¡, â…¡ and â…£ than Group â… (P<0.005). Conclusion The combination of the low dose ketamine0.5mg/kg and cisatracurium priming0.01mg/kg accelerated the onset time and was improved the intubating conditions. |
