| ObjectiveTo explore the significance of the HE4in the adenomyosis by detecting theexpression levels of HE4in serum and tissue of the adenomyosis.MethodsThe serum HE4and CA125were both measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbentassay in the serum samples of the General Hospital of Jinan Military area Commandinpatients before the treatment, including the group of adenomyosis (40cases) and thehealthy women (28cases). The expression level of the HE4was detected byimmunohistochemical method in40cases of ectopic endometrium and40cases of eutopicendometrium of adenomyosis and24cases of normal endometrium.Results1.The expression of the serum HE4and CA125in group of the adenomyosis aresignificantly higher than that in healthy group(tï¼7.166, Pï¼0.000; tï¼5.922, Pï¼0.000).Ingroup of the adenomyosis, the expression levels of the serum HE4and CA125arepositively correlated (rï¼0.411, Pï¼0.008).2.Drawing the ROC curve of the group of adenomyosis in contrast to the healthygroup,the AUC is0.909, with the standard error is0.037and the95%confidence intervalis (0.840,0.978), the diagnostic result is of high value with the specificity is0.964and thesensitivity is0.825. Moreover, it concluded that the cut off value of the serum HE4is31.035pmol/L.3.The expression of HE4in ectopic endometrium of the adenomyosis wassignificantly higher than that of eutopic endometrium and normal endometrium (x2ï¼5.208,Pï¼0.022; x2ï¼4.551, Pï¼0.033); but the expression of HE4in eutopic endometrium ofadenomyosis was not higher than that of normal endometrium(x2ï¼0.017, Pï¼0.897). 4.The expression of HE4in diffuse type of the adenomyosis were significantly higherthan that of the localized type (P=0.042). In adenomyosis, the expression levels of HE4inserum were positively correlated with that of the tissu (r=0.386, Pï¼0.014).Conclusions1.In adenomyosis, the expression levels of HE4in serum and tissue were positivelycorrelated. The expression of HE4in ectopic endometrium of the adenomyosis wassignificantly higher than that of eutopic endometrium and normal endometrium; especially,the expression of the HE4in diffuse type of the adenomyosis was significantly higher thanthat of the localized type, which suggested that the abnormal expression of HE4mightincress the cell invasion and thus promote the carcinogenesis and the development ofadenomyosis.2. The expression level of the serum HE4in group of adenomyosis was significantlyhigher than that of in healthy group; and the ROC-AUC is0.909, when the serum HE4is31.035pmol/L, the diagnostic result is of high value with the specificity is0.964and thesensitivity is0.825, showing that the value of the diagnosis and the differential diagnosis ofHE4in adenomyosis. |
