| Background:Esophageal cancer is one of the most common malignant tumor in the world, it’s a serious threat to human health. China is a high incidence area of esophageal cancer, and the Kazakh nationality which living in Xinjiang is the high incidence nationality of esophageal cancer. The etiology of esophageal cancer is not clear, searching the exact etiology for esophageal cancer is one of the research hot spot at present. Research shows that, microRNA in esophageal cancer may play a tumor suppressor or carcinogenic effects, indicate that microRNA may be related to the occurrence and development of esophageal cancer. Objective:The experiment was intend to detect the expression of miR-31and miR-155in the plasma of esophageal cancer of Xinjiang Kazak and Han nationality patients, to analysis the correlation between miR-31, miR-155and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, and to provide a theoretical basis for the study of pathogenesis in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.Methods:Collect20cases of Kazak ESCC plasma samples and20cases of normal group plasma samples in Xinjiang,20cases of Han nationality ESCC plasma samples and20cases of normal group plasma samples in Xinjiang, using real time polymerase chain reaction technology to detect the level of miR-31and miR-155in the cases and control group plasma samples.Results:(1)The expression of miR-31in Kazakh ESCC plasma was significantly higher than the control group,(Z=-5.410,P<0.01), and its expression was related to the degree of tumor differentiation (x2=14.315, P<0.01); The expression of miR-31in Han nationality ESCC plasma was significantly higher than the control group(Z=-5.410,P<0.01), and its expression has no relation to the degree of tumor differentiation (x2=4.534, P=0.104); The difference expression of miR-31in Kazakh ESCC plasma was higher than Han nationality (t=2.795,P=0.008), the difference expression of miR-31in Kazakh normal control group plasma was higher than Han nationality (t=2.305,P=0.027);(2) The expression of miR-155in Kazakh ESCC plasma was lower than the control group, the difference was not statistically significant (Z=-0.487,P=0.626), its expression was associated with the degree of tumor differentiation (x2=10.823,P=0.004); The expression of miR-155in Han nationality ESCC plasma was lower than the control group (Z=-2.272,P=0.023), and its expression was related to the degree of tumor differentiation (x2=8.724,P=0.013); The difference expression of miR-155between Kazakh and Han nationality ESCC plasma was not statistically significant(Z=-0.216,P=0.829), the difference expression of miR-155between Kazakh and Han nationality control group plasma was not statistically significant(Z=-1.464,P=0.144);(3) The expression of miR-31and miR-155in ESCC plasma have no relation to age and gender (P>005).Conclusion:(1) The expression of miR-31was upregulation in Kazakh and Han nationality ESCC plasma, and its expression was related to the degree of Kazakh ESCC differentiation; The expression of miR-31in plasma of Kazakh ESCC was higher than Han nationality ESCC, the expression of miR-31in plasma of Kazakh normal control group was higher than Han nationality normal control group; (2) The expression of miR-155in Han nationality ESCC plasma was downregulation, its expression was associated with the degree of tumor differentiation;(3) miR-155and miR-31may be participate in the occurrence of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma in Han nationality; miR-31may be participate in the occurrence of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma in Kazak. |
