A Study Of The Effect On The Life Quality And Satisfaction Of The Patients With Immediate Prosthesis Implantation After Modified Radical Mastectomy

Objective:Through the investigation quality of life and satisfaction outcomes ofpatient with immediate prosthesis implantation for breast reconstruction aftermodified radical mastectomy, we can draw the application value of immediateprosthesis implantation for breast reconstruction.Methods:We selected20patients who have had immediate prosthesis implantationfor breast reconstruction after modified radical mastectomy as the observationalgroup from September2012to February2015in In our hospital.Totally20patients underwent immediate prosthesis implantation for breast reconstructionafter nipple-areola complex sparing modified radical mastectomy. Then we alsoselected20patients as the control group, while they underwent raditionalmastectomy.We had followed up of all the patients through the form ofquestionnaire,the scores of the quality of life is got and used to compare thequality of life of the patients.The esthetic effect of breast reconstruction isevaluated by the objective evaluation of aesthetics standard and overallsatisfaction.Results:The patients are followed up so far,there are no local recurrence and distantmetastasis.No nipple areola necrosis appear in the observational group, and there were no cases appear capsular contracture, prosthesis ectopic andprosthesis exclusion reaction.The overall average score of quality of life of theobservational group is89.10,the other group is69.80.The results showed thatthe observational group is better than the control group.And the differencebetween the two groups was statistically significant (P <0.05).The excellentrate of the observational group is90%,the satisfaction rate for thisobservational group is88%.Conclusion:1.Compared with traditional surgical approach, immediate prosthesisimplantation for breast reconstruction can reduce the psychological impactcaused by the missing of patient’s breast. The operation can not only achievesatisfactory aesthetic effect, but also significantly improve the quality of life ofpatients.2. The immediate prosthesis implantation for breast reconstruction isrelatively simple,less pain, quick recovery. At the same time, it does not affectthe treatment and prognosis of the patients. And the aesthetic effect is obvious.In addition,it can improve the quality of life of patients after surgery. In aword,the operation is worth recommended in the strictly indications.
