Study On Tcm Constitutional Types And The Relationship With Plasma Total Homocysteine Level In Type2Diabetes Mellitus Complicated With Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease Patients

Objective To investigate TCM constitutions in Type2Diabetes Mellitus(T2DM) complicated with Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease(NAFLD), analysis the relationship of TCM constitutions and plasma total homocysteine level, combine traditional Chinese and Western medicine and to provide the theoretical and clinical basis.Methods:202cases met the dignosis criteria of T2DM with NAFLD (group A)and210controls (group B) were enrolled in this study, identified by different constitutions, measured height(H)and weight(W),calculated body mass index(BMI), examed laboratory indexes: triglycerides(TG),total cholesterol(TC), low density lipoprotein(LDL),alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST), glycosylated hemoglobin(HbAic) and homocysteine(HCY).Results①In group A and group B compare, BMI had a significant difference (P=0.001); sex comparison, difference no statistical significance (P=0.278).②The plasma TG,TC,LDL,ALT,AST and HbAIC levels was higher in group A than that of in group B(P<0.05).③The plasma tHcy levels was higher in group A than that of in group A(P<0.001).④T2DM with NAFLD patients had higher frequency in Gentleness type, Phlegm-damp type,Qi-deficiency type,Blood-stasis type,Damp heat type,Qi-depression type, Yang-deficiency type and Yin-deficiency type. Group A syndrome than those in group B(P<0.001). The major constitutions were Phlegm-damp type, Qi-deficiency type,Blood-stasis type,Damp heat type.⑤Blood-stasis type and Qi-depression type patients’HCY in group A were higher than group B(P<0.01).Group A and group B compare,other constitutional types are no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion The major TCM Constitutions of T2DM with NAFLD patients were Phlegm-damp type, Qi-deficiency type,Blood-stasis type,Damp heat type,Qi-depression type, Yang-deficiency type and Yin-deficiency type. Blood-stasis type and Qi-depression type associated with HCY. Plasma total homocysteine level in type2diabetes mellitus complicated with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease patients is correlated to Blood-stasis type and Qi-depression type.
