The Effect Analysis Of Expand Curettage And Cement Filling Using In Giant Cell Tumor Of Limbs Long Bone

Objective:To observe the effect of expand curettage and cement filling using in giant cell tumor of limbs long bone.Methods:A total of65patients with giant cell tumor of limbs long bone were selected from department of orthopaedics the second affiliated hospital of Zhengjiang University from January2007to December2011. They were treated with expand curettage and cement filling and were well followed up. The Operations were performed by tumor groups’ doctors.27cases were used expand curettage and cement filling only and38cases with internal fixation besides. The recurrence rate and function were statistics and the relationship of the factors of patients’ gender, age, position and imaging types, whether using of internal fixation, whether relapse type with recurrence rate were analysis.Results:All patients were followed-up ranged from28to80months and3cases recurrence, the recurrence rate was4.62%, the overall satisfaction rate was93.8%through a limb function assessment with55cases of excellent,6cases of good,3cases of middle,1case of poor.Conclusions:The recurrence rate of giant cell tumor of limbs long bone using expand curettage and cement filling was low. There has no relationship with the factors of patients’ gender, age, and imaging types, whether using of internal fixation, whether relapse type. But has relationship with position. The limb function was satisfaction.
