Objective:Discussing the relationship between intra-and extracranial atherosclerosisand straitness with age、hypertension、diabetes、hyperlipidemia、smoking、drinking andhyperhomocysteinemia. This paper provides a basis for early preventions and treatments ofischemic cerebrovascular disease.Methods:1). Among the consecutive IS/TIA hospitalized patients in department ofneurology in our hospital between January2007and July2011,110patients werepreformed by digital subtraction angiography (DSA) by PHILIPS DSA machine.Atherosclerotic stenotic lesions on DSA were subdivided into intracranial and extracranialcategories. Based on the DSA result, we selected89patients and divided them into twosubgroups, intracranial group (56patients with only intracranial atherosclerotic lesions)and extracranial group (33patients with isolated extracranial atherosclerotic lesions). Atotal of90age-and sex-matched individuals without intra-and extracranial atherosclerosiswere randomly selected as controls.2). Collecting general clinical and vascular image dataof the above-mentioned persons. SPSS16.0is used, baseline demographic is expressed bymean value±standard deviation, and absolute variable is expressed by frequency. Thecomparison of continuous variable between groups is carried out by t-test or varianceanalysis. The comparison of absolute variable is carried out by chi-square test. Logisticregression analysis is used to analysis the relationship between intra-and extracranialatherosclerosis and straitness with age、hypertension、diabetes、hyperlipidemia、smoking、drinking and hyperhomocysteinemia. Results:1). There are no significant deviation between the intra-and extracranialgroup.2). Among the intracranial group, patients with≥70%stenosis with high BP and IFGwere significantly more than that between the30%~69%. Among the extracranial group, patients with≥70%stenosis with high IFG were significantly more than that between the30%~69%.3). The result of regression analysis shows that the older a patient is, themore likely intra-and extracranial atherosclerosis with the value OR=1.121,P=0.005<0.05.It has statistical significance that intra-and extracranial atherosclerosis andstraitness is connected with age、hypertension、diabetes、hyperlipidemia、smoking、drinkingand hyperhomocysteinemia (P<0.05). Sex and drinking have nothing to do with intra-andextracranial atherosclerosis and straitness, and it has no statistical significance. Conclusions: Compared with controls, intra-and extracranial groups showedsignificantly higher number of men, older, more smoker, higher prevalence of diabetes, higher prevalence of hypertension, higher BMI, larger prevalence of metabolic syndrome (P﹤0.05,P﹤0.01). There are no significant deviation between the intra-and extracranialgroup.Intra-and extracranial atherosclerosis and straitness are a result of multiple factors.Intracranial arteriosclerosis has significant correlation with hypertension、diabetes、smoking、dyslipidemia、age and hyperhomocysteinemia. Extracranial atherosclerosis hassignificant correlation with diabetes、 age、 smoking dyslipidemia、 andhyperhomocysteinemia。...
