Clinical Application Of128Slice Spiral CT In The Measurement Of Acetabulum

Objective:To probe the measurements of acetabular parameters on the128slicesspiral CT,and provide the evidence on the diagnosis of the adult acetabular dysplasia andthe operation treatment of acetabulum.Methods:95cases of normal adult bilateral hip CT scans were three-dimensional(3D)reconstructed,then the coronal and horizontal planes which parallel and perpendicular tothe gravity of human body line of each hip were also reconstructed.the measurement andanalysis of the acetabular parameters from the above planes,including CE angle,ABA andAVA,were performed.Results:The total CE angle was (31.55±5.67)o，of which male was (33.08±5.52)oandof which female was (30.49±5.55)o；The totalABAwas (49.87±4.10)o，of which male was（51.36±3.99）oand of which female was(48.83±3.87)o；The totalAVAwas(18.62±5.37)o，of which male was (17.85±5.80)oand of which female was (19.16±5.00)o。There were nosignificant differences of the above parameters between men and women (P>0.05),the leftand right sides (P>0.05),While there were significant differences among the different agegroups (P<0.05).Compared to the domestic reports the differences were no significant(P>0.05),but compared to the abroad reports the differences were meaningful(P<0.05).Conclusion:Taking the human body gravity line as the reference the measurement ofacetabular CE angle, ABA and AVA are accurate and objective,and can provide guidancefor the diagnosis of acetabular dysplasia and the operation of the acetabulum.
