Soybean, an annual herbage, belongs to Glycine, Phaseoleae, Papilionaceae, Leguminose, which is widely distributed all around the world. The country of origin is China. It is one of the most important commercial crops and food crops. The chemical constituents of soybean are complex, the mainly constituents are flavonoids, soyasaponin, soy protein, granulesten, soybean dietary fiber, unsaturated fatty acids, phytosterol and alkaloid etc. Glycine have pharmacological effects of anti-tumor, anti-bacterial, anti-oxidation, anti-inflammatory, prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases and so on. Modern research shows that the chemical composition of Soybean are good for Breast Cancer, Prostate Cancer, AMI, and Arteriosclerosis etc. And it plays an important role in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Soybean have the significance for further research either as food or medicine.The chemical constituents were isolated by silica gel chromatography, Sephadex LH-20 gel column chromatography, medium pressure column chromatography, and semi-preparative liquid chromatography, and their structures were elucidated by chemical properties and spectroscopic analyses. 42 compounds were isolated, and 38 compounds were identified from soybean pods to be Soyalkaloid A(DZ-1), 2′′-hydroxyerythrin A(DZ-2), Daidzein-7-O-β-D-{6′′-[(E)-but-2-enoyl]}glycoside(DZ-3),(3S,6S)-Ginsenine(DZ-4), Ginsenine(DZ-5), 7,4’-dihydroxyflavone(DZ-6), apigenin(DZ-7), luteolin(DZ-8), 3 ’, 4 ’, 7- Tri h yd ro x yfl av o n e(DZ-9), 7, 4 ’-d i h yd ro x yfl av o n e- 7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(DZ-10), cosmosiin(DZ-11), apigenin-7-O-β-D-(6"-0-acetyl)-glucoside( D Z- 1 2), d a i d z e i n( D Z- 1 3), F o r m o n o n e t i n( D Z- 1 4), G e n i s t e i n( D Z- 1 5), 7,4’-dihydroxy-6-methoxyisoflavone(DZ-16), Daidzin(DZ-17), Ononin(DZ-18), Isoerythrinin A( DZ-19), kaempferol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranos yl(1→2)-O-[α-Lrhamnopyranosyl(1→6)]-β-D-galactopyranoside(DZ-20), kaempferol-3-O-α-Lrhamnopyranosyl(1→3)-O-[α-L-rhamnopyranosyl(1→6)]-β-D-galactopyranoside(DZ-21),kaempferol-3-O-rutinoside(DZ-22), Panasenoside(DZ-23), kaempferol-3-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosy(1→6)-β-D-galactopyranoside(DZ-24), Naringenin(DZ-25), Phaseol(DZ-26), Coumestrol(DZ-27),(+) Medioresinol(DZ-28), Taraxerone(DZ-29), Lupenone(DZ-30), β-daucosterol(DZ-31), β-sitosterol(DZ-32), stigmasterol(DZ-33), In d o l e-3-carb ox yl i c aci d(DZ-3 4),(–)-(1S,3 S)-1-m eth yl-1, 2,3, 4-t et rah yd ro-β-carboline-3-carboxylic acid(DZ-35),(–)-(1R,3S)-1-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-β-carboline-3-carbox-ylic acid(DZ-36), 4,4’-diphenylmethane-bis(ethyl) carbamates(DZ-37), 2,6-dimethoxy-1,4-benzoquinone(DZ-38). And DZ-1、DZ-2、DZ-3 and DZ-4 are four new compounds, DZ-1 is a new skeleton. DZ-10、DZ-12、DZ-19、DZ-20、DZ-21、DZ-29、DZ-30、DZ-35、DZ-36 are obtained from Glycine for the first time, DZ- 9 is obtained from this plant for the first time.In this paper, the studies of the chemical constituents of soybean pods laid the material foundation of pharmacological research and providing the theoretical basis.
