Objective:Research of mental autogenous bone block graft for the implantation of anterior alveolar ridges。Observe the resorption of block graft and reconstruction of mentum for statistics with CBCT (Cone beam CT)Methods:13 cases were chosen which conform to our requirement in May 2012---May.2014.10 cases of men and women in 3 patients,3cases with multiple teeth loss and 10 cases with single tooth loss, the maximum age 50, minimum age 19, mean age 27.7.We operated according to the surgery standard, protected the surrounding important organizational structures, ensure the stability of block graft and recording process in detail. Antibiotic prophylaxis and cold compresses should be given after the operation.Patients also should take in sail of oral region to protect the cut. Active follow-up In two weeks, a month, after six months.CBCTs after the operation immediate and 6 months later were observed respectively. The reconstruction of mental coloboma and growth or resorption of block grafts with alveolar ridges should be measured and analyzed. All of these will be used to guide surgery after days. Results:Mean healing stage was 6.3 months(6-8months),one case’s wound dehisced, no apparent infection, then healed by swilling for 2 weeks with mouthwash; One case’s wound dehisced and the block graft exposed,2 weeks later cured on antibiotics therapy and swilling. Both of two case’s alveolar ridges mucosa was filmier than others. Abnormal sensation of lower anterior teeth occured in one case, the patient could endure and no more symptoms after 6 months. After 6 months,by CBCT measure, on average, alveolar ridges increased 3.73+0.88mm,absorbed 0.90+0.40mm, absorption rate is19.98±7.53%in horizontal direction。The coloboma depth of mentum reduced 2.99+0.41mm in horizontal direction, average growth rate could be 67.76±6.96%. No more adverse reaction occured until JAN 2015.Conclusion:Using autogenous block from mentum to improve insufficient of anterior alveolar ridges for teeth implantation is viable. This operation has favourable prognosis and less bone absorption, synchronously, reducing absorption of the grafts as more as possible will be our next objective.
