Observation On The Therapeutic Effect Of Auricular Point For Treatment Of Tourette Syndrome And Improve Its Comorbidities

ObjectiveTourette syndrome is a kind of chronic neural mental disorder of unknown cause, the incidence was significantly increasing trend in recent years. That children with twitch symptoms and comorbid behavior problems seriously affects their physical and mental health and quality of life. This subject adopts randomized controlled experiment research, evaluating auricular application pressure exactly in the treatment of Tourette syndrome and security, and discussingauricular application pressure points combined with oral liquid that good to mental health to and to improve its comorbidities, ADHD, so to reduce the recurrence rate of clinical curative effect.MethodsWithrandomized controlled experiment research,48 children with TS and ADHD were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. Treatment group were treated with auricular application pressure and oral yi zhi ning shen ye. While controlled group were treated with oral yi zhi ning shen ye only. Before and after treatment with Yale scale and Conners hyperactivity index rating scale, clinical data using SPSS software for statistical processing, each data describes with mean x±S. Measurement data variance of rendering with t test, while variance, irregular data rank by rank and inspection. Deal with the technical data by chi-square test. According to the results of calculation analyzing of the two groups before and after treatment with or without statistical significance.ResultsBefore treatment, the results are displayed in the treatment group and the control group had no significant difference in the baseline consistent comparability. After treatment, Tourette’s syndrome, total effective rate in the treatment group for96.15% and control group for90.91%; the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.001). Yale scale total score of both group comparison, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05), indicating the treatment groups, TIC symptoms than the control group. After treatment, total effective rate in the treatment group is 92.31% and control group 77.27%, the difference between the two group was statistically significant (P<0.001), CIH scores two group comparison of the mean, there was statistically significant (P<0.05), in the treatment group improved ADHD symptoms than the control group. After 12 weeks of follow-up, treatment group, the recurrence rate is 3.85%,13.64% relapse rate in the control group, difference between the two group was statistically significant (P<0.001), in reducing TIC symptoms recurrence rate in treatment group than the control group. Safety evaluation context, this study observed ear-point therapy and use of drugs showed no harm on heart, liver, kidney function, and blood system, objective evaluation of the safety of ear-point therapy.ConelusionThis study showed that by Auricular-plaster therapy combined with oral yi zhi ning shen ye in treatment can significantly improve symptoms of tics in children with Tourette Syndrome, reducing the relapse rate, compare with treated with Auricular point more effective in improving its disease-symptoms of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. During the experiment ear-point therapy and use of drugs showed no harm on heart, liver, kidney function, and blood system, objective evaluation of the safety of ear-point therapy.
