| Objective: The purpose of this study is to understand the situation of the medicine compliance of schizophrenic patients at present,to explore the factors related with medicine compliance in patients with schizophrenia, caregivers’ attitudes to schizophrenic patients to take medicine, and if the caregivers’ attitudes can influence the medicine compliance of schizophrenic patients. Methods : The questionnaires provided by Peking University which named “Medicine compliance of schizophrenic patients and their caregivers’ attitudeâ€.The investigation objects are 156 patients with schizophrenia and their caregivers in Mianyang,they are investigated by trained psychiatrists. The data were analyzed using SPSS21.0 statistical software. Using rank sum test,analysis of variance and Logistic regression analysis and other statistical methods, a =0.05 level test.Results: The schizophrenic patients generally have low cultural level, marital status, employment status, personal monthly income and family income. The rate of schizophrenic patients with medicine compliance was 69.2%,partial compliance rate was 17.3%,no compliance rate was 13.5%.The age of onset, course of disease, gender, and age have no significant statistical difference in complete compliance group, partial compliance group and noncompliance group(P>0.05),the educational level, whether have ajob, living environment, whether combined medication and family income have significant statistical difference in the three groups(P<0.05), the caregivers’ attitudes have significant statistical difference in the three groups(P<0.05).Conclusion: 1.The schizophrenic patients generally have low cultural level, marital status, employment status, personal monthly income and family income. 2.The medicine compliance of patients with schizophrenia were related with factors such as educational level,job,family income, living environment, The schizophrenic patients with a high educational level, a steady job, a wealthy family, living with family and single druged, have a better medicine compliance than the others. 3.A better family environment has a positive effect on the medicine compliance of schizophrenic patients. Therefore, mental health workers should pay attention to the psychological intervention on the patients with family members and health education to improve the compliance of the patients, improve the quality of life of patients and their families, to reduce the burden of the family and society. |
