| Objective: This paper aims to discuss the influence situation of ABC emotion management training on social function in community ambulatory patients with chronic schizophrenia, and explore rehabilitation treatment measures capable of improving daily living skills and social adaptability, and effectively improving social function of the community ambulatory patients with chronic schizophrenia. Methods: In October 2013, 60 community ambulatory patients with chronic schizophrenia were selected as the study objects according to the inclusion criteria. Study objects were randomly divided into a study group and a control group with 30 patients respectively. The study group accepted once ABC emotion management training for 60 minutes each moth while accepting medication, conventional therapy and health education, and the control group only accepted medication, conventional therapy and health education. ABC emotion management training mainly includes: after listening to the typical events happening to group members, finding out the irrational belief and debating with him/her, replacing the irrational belief with new dialectical and rational belief, thereby changing emotion. When the patients are grouped, evaluating the patients in two groups with general condition questionnaire, brief psychiatric rating scale(BPRS), personal and social performance scale(PSP) and activities of daily living scale(ADL); in addition, after grouping 3 months, 6 months and 12 months, re-evaluating the patients with personal and social performance scale(PSP), activities of daily living scale(ADL) and brief psychiatric rating scale(BPRS), and performing control research. All data entry and statistical processing should be down by SPSS15.0 software package. Results: 1 General conditions of patients in both groupsA total of 60 community ambulatory patients with chronic schizophrenia were equally divided into a study group and a control group at random for this study. One patient in the study group and one patient in the control group dropped out during the one-year control study. At the time of grouping and after falling off, the difference in gender, age, marital status, education background, course of disease and the number of hospitalization of patients in both groups was not significant(P > 0.05), so comparability exists. All shedding patients were not included of statistical analysis. 2 The influence situation of ABC emotion management training on social function in community ambulatory patients with chronic schizophrenia 2.1 At the beginning, the comparative difference of scores of PSP, ADL, BPRS total point and various factors of patients in both groups was not significant(P>0.05), so comparability exists. 2.2 Three months later, PSP score(58.14±2.46) of the study group was higher than that of the control group(52.14±2.08), while the scores of ADL, BPRS total point and lacking in activity factor(respectively were 30.97±4.14, 26.69±1.47, 5.79±0.68) were less than that of the control group(respectively were 34.90±4.57, 28.24±1.27, 6.34±0.61), all the differences have significant effect(P<0.05). 2.3 Six months later, PSP score(62.66±2.84) of the study group was higher than that of the control group(52.72±2.19), while the scores of ADL, BPRS total point, anxiety-depression factor, lacking in activity factor and hostile factor(respectively were 25.86±3.58, 24.41±1.52, 4.79±0.94, 5.17±0.76, 4.83±0.66) were less than that of the control group(respectively were 33.90±4.70, 27.76±1.33, 5.59±0.68, 6.28±0.65, 5.79±0.73), all the differences have significant effect(P<0.05). 2.4 Twelve months later, PSP score(74.07±4.21) of the study group was higher than that of the control group(53.41±1.97), while the scores of ADL, BPRS total point, anxiety-depression factor, lacking in activity factor, thinking disturbance factor, activating factor and hostile factor(respectively were 18.86±2.34, 20.24±1.62, 3.83±1.00, 4.17±0.76, 4.21±0.62, 4.00±0.71, 4.03±0.68) were less than that of the control group(respectively were 32.79±4.75, 27.62±1.40, 5.55±0.78, 6.28±0.65, 4.97±0.57, 5.07±0.75, 5.76±0.74), all the differences have significant effect(P<0.05). 2.5 Three months later, scores of PSP, ADL, BPRS total point and lacking in activity factor of the study group(respectively were 58.14±2.46, 30.97±4.14, 26.69±1.47, 5.79±0.68) were better than that of beginning(respectively were 51.45±2.34, 35.52±4.41, 27.90±1.72, 6.17±0.76), all the differences have significant effect(P<0.05), while the scores of all factors of the control group and that of beginning were not significant(P>0.05). 2.6 Six months later, scores of PSP, ADL, BPRS total point, anxiety-depression factor, lacking in activity factor and hostile factor of the study group(respectively were 62.66±2.84, 25.86±3.58, 24.42±1.52, 4.79±0.94, 5.17±0.76, 4.83±0.66) were better than that of beginning(respectively were 51.45±2.34, 35.52±4.41, 27.90±1.72, 5.76±1.09, 5.76±0.79), all the differences have significant effect(P<0.05), while only the scores of PSP and BPRS total point of the control group(respectively were 52.72±2.19, 27.76±1.33) were better than that of beginning(respectively were 51.59±1.84, 28.76±1.30), all the differences have significant effect(P<0.05). 2.7 Twelve months later, the scores of all factors of the study group and that of beginning have significant effect(P<0.05), while only the scores of PSP and BPRS total point of the control group were better than that of beginning, all the differences have significant effect(P<0.05).Conclusion: The implementation of ABC emotion management training can effectively improve the social function of community ambulatory patients with chronic schizophrenia. |
