Objective:The purpose of this study is to establish and validate the osteopenia risk assessment tool for the women before menopause, though exploring the affecting factors of the bone mineral density, hoping to provide effective and applied means for osteoporosis prevention and scientific evidences for bone health promoting.Methods:The research recruited 150 healthy young women aged between 25-49 years, among who 135 people were used to develop the assessment tool,15 people were used to validate the application effect. The dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXEA) was used to test the lumbar, femur neck, whole body bone mineral density and the body composition, as with the questionnaire, which contains nutrition, lifestyle, physical activity level, drug and disease history, genetic history, peak bone mass, women physiological status and so on, was used to inquire the bone healthy condition. Though the methods of relative analysis, one-way analysis of variance, multivariate regression analysis and logistic regression analysis, the main affecting factors and the risk assessment models has been made out. According to the area under ROC, sensitivity, specificity and coincidence rate to establish the osteopenia risk assessment tool. Though the retrospective examination, the kappa consistency test was used to evaluate the application effect.Outcomes:1.Relative analysis and one-way analysis of variance showed that, the dairy products, bean products, physical activity level, leisure activity, physical exercise before 18 years old, physical exercise between 18 and 30 years old, weight, height, lean mass, fat mass and body fat rate have different level of influence on lumbar, femur neck, whole body bone mineral density.2. Multivariate regression analysis revealed that, dairy products, weight, leisure activity are the predictive variables of lumbar bone mineral density multivariate regression model; dairy products, leisure activity, physical exercise between 18 and 30 years old are the predictive variables of femur neck bone mineral density multivariate regression model; bean products, weight, physical exercise between 18 and 30 years old are the predictive variables of whole body bone mineral density multivariate regression model.3.The lumbar osteopenia risk assessment tool has achieved preferable value, the sensitivity is 78.9%, specificity is 86%; The femur neck osteopenia risk assessment tool has achieved some kind of value, the sensitivity is 73.7%, specificity is 65.5%; The whole body osteopenia risk assessment tool has achieved preferable value, the sensitivity is 87.5%, specificity is 77.8%.4.Our screening tools and the golden criteria have got fair consistency.The application effect of all the screening tools worked well in screening of the 15 people.Conclusion:Our study has developed handy and well applied osteopenia assessment tools, which can be used to screen the high risks of osteopenia for young women.
