Studies On Plant Landscape Of Sanatoriums In Fuzhou City Based On The Horticultural Therapy

With rapid development of society, people’s living standard is improving gradually, and they have higher requirements about the environment, pay more attention about the city’s landscape construction. But as the living condition goes worse, people’s health is under threat. Sub-health people and non-health people are becoming more and more. So it’s necessary for us to have regular rehabilitation therapy. And it’s more important for sanatoriums to build their landscape environment. Green plant is one of the important factors that affect sanatorium’s landscape environment, we can improve the ecological benefits through the rational allocation of green plants, and it will be good to people’s physical and mental health.The study investigated the present situation of sanatoriums’plants configuration in Fuzhou based on the horticultural therapy mainly from two sides:the floristic selection and the plant configuration. At the same time measuring the data of some ecological factors by using THI/Amp air quality evaluation coefficient/Single grade coefficient to explore the connection between the different plant configuration and the body comfort in summer. The specific results were summarized as follows:(1) Through field survey, this study found that there were 60 families,86 generas and 86 species garden plants in five representative sanatoriums of Fuzhou. The application of native tree species and medicinal aromatic plants were less, it can not reflect the local landscape well and the plants’later-stage management is not in place, so it is not easy for the application of aromatherapy. There were five kinds of plant configuration forms, such as "arbor-shrub-lawn", "arbor-shrub", "rbor-lawn", "shrub-lawn" and "lawn-lawn", their proportion were 24.3%,27.2%,15.5%,22.3% and 10.7%, respectively. Most types of the landscape spaces that are created by arbor, shrub and herbage coverage are semi-open type, the open type and overlay type are less, there are no private communication space, which can not meet people’s different demands. The conditions of colour plant’s application were as follows:there were a large amount of warm color flowering plants, but less orange and yellow-green plants could be ovserved. There were less cool color flowering plants, only have 3 species. The whole plants landscape did not pay attention to the application and configuration of colore plants, it is not easy for the application of colour therapy. Furthermore, the plant landscape form is single, most of them are rule-type. The plant species and configuration mode in every sanatorium are similar to each other. In summary, the landscape in sanatorium brings less types of emotional experience and less enjoyment for people. It is not good for enhancing the convalescent course of human body from many sides.(2) Plant communities with different plants configurations had obvious cooling effect, humidification effect, C/A noise reduction effect, increasing the air’s negative oxygen ion concentration effect, and PM2.5/PM10 dedusting effect in different levels. The ranges of these ecological effects in different plant communities were:0.63%～ 6.27%,0.32%～8.41%,2.15%～11.10%,5.45%～11.40%,3.50%～67.83%, 0.42%-3.16%, and 0.71%～3.46%, respectively. Besides, different plants configurations could not only improve body comfort by adjusting temperature and humidity but also could purify air and improve air quality. They could make people feel more comfortable than non-green place. Different plant communities’ ecological effects and the degree that different plant communities improving people comfort kept these rules totally: "Plants configuration with arbor"> "Plants configuration without arbor but with shrub">"lawn". Complex plants configuration> Monotonous plants configuration. But shrub-plant community could increasing humidification effect and noise reduction effect.(3) The study created a local plants library and garden care plants library of Fuzhou by collecting material, which could provide reference for choosing suitable plants and improving the condition of plants configuration in Fuzhou sanatoriums. Finally, we combined the researching results with the theory of "horticultural therapy" and "plant disposition principles" and so on, and propounded some suggestions for plant landscape designing in Fuzhou sanatoriums mainly from colour therapy and aromatherapy to build beautiful plant landscape environment with healthy function and rehabilitation efficacy.
