Objective:To provide the basis for early detection, early diagnosis and Chinese traditional medicine research of concomitant depression in HLD patients,This issue survey the disease incidence and risk factors of depression in HLD patients and analysis the relationship between TCM syndromes and the factors in HAMD.Methods:Adopting a sample size of epidemiological methods,we select 100 cases of HLD patients met inclusion criteria as HLD group and 30 cases of healthy person whose demographic date is match with the HLD group’s as the control group. We collect the general date, clinical date and the factors in HAMD of two group, count the disease incidence of depression in HLD patients, analysis the relationship between the occurrence of depression in HLD and the risk factors as well as between TCM syndromes and the factors in HAMD.Results:1.The incidence of depression in HLD group(31%) is obviously higher than the control group(3.3%),P<0.01,there is a statistically significant difference between two group.2.The average age of HLD patients with depression(29.68±9.04) is greater than HLD patients not with depression(23.36±5.72),the difference is statistically significant;the average course of HLD in HLD with depression group(7.53±6.60) is longer than in HLD not with depression group(4.29±3.76), the difference is statistically significant;the average amount of overt symptoms in HLD with depression group(3.13±1.59) is more than in HLD not with depression group(2.28±1.41),the difference is significant,P<0.01; the average monthly family income in HLD with depression group is lower than in HLD not with depression group, there was no statistically difference between two groups; there was no statistically difference in contrast of gender, years of education, marital status between two group.3.In 100 cases of HLD patients, the disease incidence of depression inShireneiyun group is 23.68%; the disease incidence of depression in Tanyuhujie group is 30.30%; the disease incidence of depression in Ganshenyinkui group is 22.22%; the disease incidence of depression in Ganqiyujie group is 100%; the disease incidence of depression in Pishenyangxu group is 50%; the disease incidence of depression in Ganqiyujie group is significantly higher than in the other groups, the contrast of disease incidence between the remaining four groups wasn’t statistically different, tested by the Chi-square test(P=0.552>0.05).4.In 31 cases of HLD with depression patients, the average score of HAMD total points is 25.80±4.81;the lowest make is 18(2 cases, 6.45%); the highest score is 36(1case, 3.23%); the most frequent score is 23(5 cases, 16.13%).5.We compared the score of the factor between TCM syndromes and found that:the score of Despair factor in Tanyuhujie group is obviously higher than the other groups, the difference is statistically significant(P<0.01); the score of Anxiety factor and Sleep factor in Ganshenyinkui group is higher than the other groups, the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05);the score of Retardation factor in Shireneiyun group(P<0.05) and Pishenyangxu group(P<0.01) is higher than the other groups, the difference is statistically significant.6.The HLD with depression patients got stress from high medical expenses, strange look from around people;they worried their offspring suffering from HLD and HLD is incurable.Conclusion:1.The incidence of depression in HLD patient is higher than the normal.clinicians should enhance awareness and understanding of the depression in HLD patients.2.The HLD patients whose age was bigger or course was longer or amount of overt symptoms were more are more likely to suffer from depression.3.The morbidity of depression in Ganqiyujie group is highest among HLD patients.4.The Tanyuhujie group patients of HLD with depression are more likely toappear hopeless and self-abased mood; The Ganshenyinkui group patients of HLD with depression are more likely to appear anxiety and sleep disorder; The Shireneiyun and Pishenyangxu group patients of HLD with depression are more likely to appear depressive and slow.
