Objective:To investigate the incidence and age distribution of lower urinary tract symptoms(LUTS) and premature ejaculation(PE) in men aged 20-50 years old and to achieve the correlation between LUTS and PE. It will provide important clues to the pathogenesis of premature ejaculation, and provide important basis for the reasonable exploration and the effective treatment for premature ejaculation. Methods:We enrolled 1459 men aged 20-50 years between June 2012 and June 2013 in The First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University. These men have regular sex partners and regular sex life more than 6 months at least. If they have obvious nervous system disease, or they have obvious urinary tract infection nearly a month, or the patents who will have lower urinary or the pelvic operation will be excluded. Each of them was colleted information, including age, weight and height etc. An evaluation was performed on the LUTS by using the IPSS, and the PE by using the premature ejaculation diagnostic tool(PEDT) and intra-vaginal ejaculation latency time(IELT). The diagnosis of premature ejaculation mainly based on criteria for the premature ejaculation which proposed by International Medical Association(ISSM), including:(1)from the beginning of the first sexual life, ejaculation is always or often happened when enter woman’s vagina after one minutes;(2)for most of the time or after entering the vagina, they always don’t have the ability to increase the ejaculation time;(3)It will have the adverse results, such as loss, depression, pain and/or avoid contact with your lover, etc. Results:We have collected effective questionnaire 1459, and divided into 4 age groups according to every ten years. The occurrence of LUTS for each group was as follows. In 20-29 year group, 56(30.8%) men had LUTS. In 30-39 year group, 275(64.3%) menhad LUTS. In 40-49 year group, 442(75.8%) men had LUTS. In 50-59 year group, 223(83.8%) men had LUTS. The study found that different age groups of the incidence of male LUTS is related with age, and the incidence of LUTS has a tendency increases with age. Further study have found that the severity of LUTS of each group is correlated with age(P<0.001),the premature ejaculation has a high prevalence rate in those who have LUTS, the severity of LUTS have increased with the growth of age. The scores >11 points of the proportion were 21.29% and 11.23%(p<0.001) the by premature ejaculation diagnosis tool, and the scores between 9 to 10 is respectively 24.90% and 14.04%(p<0.001). Compared with the two groups, the incidence of premature ejaculation of the LUTS group was significantly higher than the non LUTS group. Further study on the latent of intravaginal ejaculatory of different degrees of lower urinary tract symptoms and the distribution of the scores about premature ejaculation diagnosis tool. When the latency time of intravaginal ejaculatory <1 minutes, the slightly lower urinary tract symptoms ratio is 52.49%, and the severe the 2.93%(p<0.001), and if the latency time of intravaginal ejaculatory>5 minutes, the slightly lower urinary tract symptoms ratio is 89.68%, and the severe the 0.64%(p<0.001), if the severity of lower urinary tract symptoms is increased, the atency time of intravaginal ejaculatory is decreased. When the scores were greater than 11 points by the premature ejaculation diagnosis tool, the slightly lower urinary tract symptoms ratio is 38.21%, and the severe is 4.24%(p<0.001), and when the scores were below 8 points, slightly lower urinary tract symptoms ratio is 78.92%, and the severe is 0.75%(p<0.001). If the lower urinary tract symptoms is severe, the scores is increased about the premature ejaculation diagnosis tool.Through the research of the Spearman correlation coefficient, the score of international prostate symptom and premature ejaculation diagnosis tool score(r=0.610, P<0.001) and the latency time of intravaginal ejaculation(r=-0.514, P<0.001) showed significant correlation. Conclusions:LUTS were widespread in adult healthy male, with the increase of age, theincidence of LUTS were also increased. LUTS were significantly correlated with PEDT and IELT. The premature ejaculation has a high prevalence rate in those who have LUTS, and if the severity of LUTS increased, the prevalence of LUTS is also increased, therefore in premature ejaculation patient, diagnosis and treatment of LUTS are also worthy of attention, in order to have more rapid and effective treatment for premature ejaculation.
