Objective:To explore non-invasive ultrasound elasticity imaging evaluation and monitoring the process of rabbit liver resection of liver ischemia-reperfusion injury of the feasibility and application value.Methods:45 healthy adult New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into three groups:control group (group A, n= 15), occluding the portal inflow vessels group (group B, n= 15), partial resection of liver after occluding the portal inflow vessels group (group C, n= 15). The time of occluding the portal inflow vessels is 30min.Rabbits of group C resect the left lobe of the liver (accounts for about 35% of the rabbit liver weight)). The elasticity of rabbits’ right liver was detected during the stages of 0 hour、1 hour、6 hour、24 hour after reperfusion using acoustic radiation force impulse(ARFI) respectively. The elasticity of rabbit liver% levels of serum’s Aspartate aminotransferase(AST)、 Alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and historical results of hepatic tissue during different stage were compared.Results:1、ults of ultrasonic elasticity:Vs(the shear-wave velocity) of rabbits’right livers in each group was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05) before occluding the portal inflow vessels. Vs of rabbits’ right livers in group B and group C was significantly higher than that in group A(P<0.05) after reperfusion. Vs of rabbits’right livers in group C was on the rise in each time except the 1 hour group. There was statistically significant difference(P<0.05) between each two time group.2、Serum biochemical Findings: The levels of serum’s Alanine aminotransferase (ALT)、Aspartate aminotransferase(AST) in each group have no statistically significant difference (P>0.05) before occluding the portal inflow vessels. The levels of serum’s Alanine aminotransferase (ALT)、Aspartate aminotransferase(AST) in group B and group C was on the rise in each time and was significantly higher than that in group A(P<0.05) after reperusion.3、Histological Findings:0 hour group of group B and group C showed swelling hepatocytes diffusely occurring with intracellularedema.1 hour group showed destroyed erythrocytes were congested in and outside the sinusoidal space and the central vein (CV) in the initial phase. With aggravated injury,6 hour group showed inflammatory cells aggregated in the hepatic microvasculature and extravasated into the hepatic sinusoidal lumen and hepatic parenchyma.24 hour group showed widespread cell necrosis、 apoptosis, sinusoidal dissociation, and patchy focal necrosis were observed. Conclusions:The liver tissue elasticity change of rabbit liver ischemia-reperfusion injury can be could be quantitatively and objectively evaluated by the acoustic radiation force impulse imaging technology.
