Epilepsy is a sudden neural disease which caused by abnormal discharge andultra-synchronization of brain neurons. How to accurate detection and localization of lesions isthe key to improve the surgical treatment of epilepsy. Traditionally, there are a lot of technologyto use EEG to extract the relevant characteristics of the waveform onset epilepsy, then usinganalysis of correlation and causality, and thus researching the detection and localization ofepilepsy.In this paper, with the using of Optogenetics to establish genetic animal model, we can foundthe role of different brain regions in the pathogenesis of epilepsy. The researching is to find theinfluence of light stimulation to brain signals changes, so this paper analysis and compare theeffects of light stimulation on EEG and seizures characteristic waveform.In order to achieve these objectives, a variety of algorithms for the detection and localization ofepilepsy were analyzed to verify, and finding the extraction and classification of a payment outof action potentials from individual neurons, namely Spike. Spike is the only signal of brainneurons transmit information outward, therefore, the specific signal of epilepsy will be includedin the information in the Spike. At the same time spike is more specifically targeted, and spikecan be detected and positioning of the focal epilepsy more accurate study. Using thresholddetection and template matching method to detect the spike and analysis and hierarchical clusteranalysis to extract the peak potential classification of seizures related neurons signal sentthrough the main ingredient. By extracting the high-frequency oscillations (HFOs) and spikeand other characteristics of the signal analysis and comparison, we can analysis the signal ofdifferent stages of EEG seizure for further study.Experimental results show that high frequency oscillations and spike is more related to seizuresof epilepsy. The research methods of spike and light stimulation of epilepsy is of greatsignificance, and the results show that the light stimulus effectively reduces seizurescharacteristic wave. The series of conclusions by studying the results can help the treatment andstudy of epilepsy.
