Objective:To explore the clinical efficacy of ozone and sodium hyaluronate combined with exercise therapy for Knee ostenoarthritis(KOA).The effect on knee joint pain and function improvement were also observed.Method:Retrospective studies was used and a total of84knees in56patients who has already been diagnosed for osteoarthritis were selected.Patients were divided into integrated group (45knees) and drug group (39knees) according to their treatment methods.Integrated group accepted ozone, sodium hyaluronate combined with physical therapy while drug group accepted sodium hyaluronate and ozone.Ozone (10μg/ml) and sodium hyaluronate (2ml/time) were injected into Knee joint cavity once a week.VAS and Lysholm score were performed3and5weeks post injection respectively. Results:Integrated group was superior to drug group on the improvement of VAS after3weeks post injection(P<0.05).For Lysholm scores, superior rate in integrated group was68.88%while drug group35.90%(P<0.05).Five weeks post injection,VAS and Lysholm score for knee were performed.Significant improvement on knee pain and function were observed in both integrated and drug group. However,Integrated group was superior to drug group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Ozone and sodium hyaluronate combined with exercise therapy for KOA is superior to drug only for knee pain relieved and function improvement which was worth for clinical application.
